My Hobby Lobby still carries Makin's Ultimate Clay Extruder. I just came back from the store, and I saw they had one on the shelf. Plus, they have 40% off coupons practically every other week.
I guess it depends on where you live... I still see them in Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and JoAnn Fabrics here in KY.
Must be a Southern thing because I live in Tennessee. Have never seen it at Michaels though.
None of the crafts stores are carrying it anymore, is so weird since is the best one I have ever tried.

Hope it helps.

Thanks Edna! I totally forgot to tell my hubby about your new store next time thats our first stop! ......I just got done using it I put a rope along the edges of my loops for my loopy bow. I am making me a birthday cake! lol Only cause I wanna play w/ my new stuff. I'll post a pic in a few days after its done.
The Michaels in the San Antonio have discontinued. They were also wanting $30 for the thing. They do still have the extra disks in some stores. I will have to go back.
I haven't seen it in a Hobby Lobby either for a minimum of 6 months. Can't remember the price.

If I am not wrong the one they probably had is the original one. It cost around that much, but it came in a plastic case to store it, really cute.
The newer one, is the same extruder but it doesnt have the case where to store it. I guess they where trying to bring the price down.
I know in FLorida is been discontinued in both Michaels and Joanns Fabrics.
I have no idea why, since is one of the best selling products that the company that created has. God knows..

Will do
Just ordered one from amazon.com for $16.95, I have not been able to find this one in my area an the one I have from Michael's really kills my hand after a while. Hope this one is much better.
I ordered mine from Edna, I think Christmas night.
They arrived on Thursday. She makes sure nothing will happen when she boxes those puppies up. It took a solid 10 minutes to get open.
I'm thrilled and will be ordering more from her.

Got my Makins Ultimate Extruder at Hobby Lobby today, using the 40% off coupon!!! I can't wait to use it!!!
I went to get one last week, and they were out. I'll try again this week with the coupon! fingers crossed
I know this is a super old post but I'm wondering if anyone out there who uses an extruder could answer a couple questions. Can you make a rope (or whatever) only as long as the extruder or can you add to it before cutting the fondant off to make something longer? If you can't make them longer how do you join the ends together to try to make it look seamless?
Thanks.
