I was just wondering is anyone knows how to make the wood look for a basketball court cake?

If you are covering it in fondant you can buy a impression mat or roller which is wood grained.That is what I would use..HTH

Not sure if this is what youre looking for but on this cake, I just made impressions in the fondant with specula and then went back and painted over it.

Wow, not that's a hard question. I really should make better notes. I think I mixed brown and just a touch of red but I can't be sure. I'm sorry. May just want to try a little at a time until you get the color you're looking for. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

Ok, I looked at it again and it looks like I probably put a little yellow in it. I'm so sorry but I can't remember. I'd just start playing with the colors and try it out on a piece of scrap fondant. good luck
