I make peanut butter blossoms (we call them kiss cookies) every year for Christmas. The recipe I have always used just calls for plain Crisco. I wouldn't use butter because I want to say that it changes the texture of the cookie. If you really want the butter flavor I'd use regular crisco with some butter extract.

We have made these cookies for years and years with the regular crisco and they are totally yummy. icon_smile.gif

Well, two options come to mind for me:
1. They sell butter flavored shortening at the store.
2. If you don't want to buy any, do you have colorless butter flavoring you can add?

I make mine with real butter and always get positive feedback.
