It's called the Decorator's Cream Cheese Frosting and it's in the recipe section here, but I don't know if it's okay to sit out until tomorrow afternoon or not.

The recipe is
1/2 cup of shortening
1/2 cup unsalted butter
8oz cream cheese
1 tblsp vanilla
2 lbs powder sugar
1/2 tsp salt

I am going to make this today so any anwers ASAP would be greatly appreciated.

That's the one I use and it's a great tasting cream cheese icing and a dream to work with. But leaving it out, I've only done that once and it was this past week. I used it on a sculptered cake and it was too big for the fridge. I was really anxious about it and insisted on the first bite( I was the one who cut it so it was no big deal) and it was perfect! No one fell over dead, got sick, or had to go to the hospital. So I guess what I'm saying is ,probably, it would be ok. Though I'd like to know what the pros would doicon_smile.gif

I have another question for those of you who have used this...does it crust enough to use the VIVA method?

Thanks

Yes it does. But I think the one I use has 1/4 cup shortening.
