I've tried cupcakes once before, but didn't get the timeline right. I ended up with extremely dry rocks! icon_redface.gif
I'm assigned the duty of cupcakes for the school party. So, here come the questions:
a) Party is Friday, what would be the normal timeline? I work 8-6 during the week and I would deliver them Friday after lunch.
b) If I bake on Wednesday, how do I keep them fresh until I ice on Thursday?
Design is simple: kiddos wanted smooth colored icing, white spider webs, plastic spider rings.

Any help would be great! I don't want the kids breaking teeth on rocks! thumbsdown.gif
Thanks in advance!

I always bake and ice then put in a plastic cupcake box and they are fine. You could also bake then freeze them. Ice them froze and they will be moist.

They'll be fine for Friday. Just cover them with Saran Wrap after baking and ice the next night. If you're making several dozen you can buy one of those plastic totes and store them in there. If your recipe has butter instead of oil that could be the problem. They usually need to be eaten the next day or they will be dryer in that case.
