I've read several posts regarding making your own cupcake stand. I like the way the homemade one looks (KammKakes was very pretty). So homemade or premade stand: Which is more cost efficient? Which is sturdier? Which holds more cupcakes?
I would like one that looks pretty, holds at least 100 cupcakes, and is very sturdy. If I should buy one, which one should I buy? I can't tell by websites how sturdy they really are.
Thanks!

I know Cakes By Sam has some really nice cupcake stands.

If you build a wooden stand, I think that would be more sturdy than the ones you buy. But the plastic ones are very popular and seem to hold up just fine.

I have used the Wilton tall tier stand as a cupcake stand.

I like one of the ones at cakes by sam, it's about $60. So better to buy one? I saw one made from cake dummies & thick covered trays that was nice, but it was considerably more to make. I'll probably buy one. Thanks for the advice!
