Hey CCer's I need a cherry chip cake recipe. I have never had it nor made it. I have only seen the BC box mix. What should I do? Thanks in advance, Kristy

Do you normally bake scratch, mix or doctored mix cakes? icon_smile.gif

If you do box, then BC would work.

If you do doctored cake mix, then either Rebecca Sutterby's or kakeladi's WASC cake variation using the BC CC cake mix would work:

If you do scratch, most of the recipes are for chocolate cherry chip:

Or if you have a favorite scratch white cake, simply add well drained, chopped maraschino cherries (1 or 2 small jars depending on how "cherry" you want the cake). I would probably flour the cherry bits (prior to adding to batter) to keep them from sinking to the bottom of the cake.
