What about an azalea (sp?)? I have a potential client who has mentioned azaleas as a possibility.

I've ordered it, but haven't used it yet. She makes her own molds on this site:

Can someone help me out on where i can find a tutorial on how to make MMF tulips... Step by step or Images would be appreciated.
Thank you so very much!!
This looks awesome! I suppose I now need a peony cutter, I've been dying to make one! Has anyone tried a peony without a cutter, or using a different shape that can still kind of mimic the same ruffled look? I'm wondering if a toothpick would work, similar to a carnation kind of method.
Oh, this is SO very, very nice! I do cookies, but my daughter is a budding cake decorator and she can really use this. Thank you again!!!

Sorry I haven't been keeping in track with more tutorials. I'll remember to keep adding whenever something pops up--I know there is more I forgot.
I'm a newbie making flowers for the first time and sure could use some assistance. The client wants flowers like the ones in the cake photo I'm attaching. The pic is not very clear but the petals are overlapping which means cutting out individual petals I think. Those have 5 petals.
An icelandic poppy is the closest shape I found. Maybe others will know more about the one in the pic and what cutters I need.
Rylan, thank you for the tutorials you listed on the prior page and the first one on poppymaking is the one I think is best. I'm supposed to use a large frillstick and don't have one. Can anyone tell me if I could use something else instead?
then the tutorial says to "tape the other 2 petals". what tape do I use? Why tape?
I need to put little pearls in the centre of each flower. If I follow the tutorial, would I add the pearls before I attach the other petals or after the flower is made?
Do I just stick the wired flower in the cake or glue them on?
So many questions, I'm sorry. Any help would sure be appreciated.
Patty, I believe you can also use a skewer. When they mean tape, I'm guessing floral tape? Not really sure since I don't recall the tutorial you saw.

Hiya
This is for pattycakes really .. But I just read your post
the tape is floral tape which you get in different widths and colours ... Dependant on type of flower and style etc you want to achieve .
In answer to the wires in cakes !!!!!
Just finishing the flower module on the pme diploma course and no kidding every week The tutor says ' how do you place these ? And we say in a posy pick ! or royal
why ?? Because we don't want to be sued for poisoning from he wires !
Yeah so No ! You nay be advised otherwise but think about unhygenic wires in food
and I guess you'll have your answer
apologies for going on but no kidding every single week we get it drumed in
hope this helps you out
