I need help! I am making a 60th anniversary cake and they want edible diamonds all over the cake. I've found some but the amount I need is going to be very expensive. They want the diamonds that look just like diamonds not the large jewel ones. If anyone has any ideas on making my own or anything that will work I would be so greatful! icon_smile.gif

They are pricey to purchase.....check fancyflours dot com and see what you think.

There has to be molds out there and a recipe for poured sugar....I'm just not the resource. (the ones you buy from fancyflours are made from isomalt)

I'd go with isomalt. I'd first look for silicone molds. Try checking Global Sugar Art.

Country Kitchens has some jewel molds for hot sugar/isomalt as well.

I checked both fancy flours and global sugar art and there molds were shaped more like gems than diamonds, I had completely forgotten about Country Kitchen, I have ordered from them before and they are wonderful and of course had exactly the mold I wanted icon_biggrin.gif . Thank you guys so much for your help!!!

Try first impression molds - I remember seeing some on there but not certain if they were more like jewels.
