I Have $750 To Spend. What Would You Buy?

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. And for those who have lectured me on my debt...I really wish I had never mentioned it. If you do not know the whole situation you should not judge. I work 60 hours a week as a Project Manager busting my butt and then come home to take care of my daughter and my house all by myself (I don't have the husband to help like I'm sure most of you do. It's all me). I'm constantly running around taking care of everyone else and the one outlet I have is cake decorating. So if all of a sudden I receive some extra money that wasn't expected or worked into my budget than I'm going to put it towards the one thing that is keeping me sane right now. My bills are paid of time, my daughter is well fed and happy.... So please don't lecture. All I asked for was suggestions on what I should buy....not to be judged for my debt.
Thank you again for everyone suggestions. I already have a kitchenaid which I'm absolutely in love with. One other thing I was thinking about getting is some storage units to organize all of my supplies. I'm running out of room since all I have is a small cabinet in my pantry.

I dont think anyone meant any offence by it, truely. I think it was a case of trying to educate. So many of us have been caught in the credit trap or else we know some who has been.
As for the economy getting better in the land of OZ.......... not from what I am seeing.
I work for a welfare agency and we are seeing record numbers of people coming in for food, help with bills. And these a new clients NOT people who have been using the system for years.
The problem is our numbers are not showing correctly because our Government is making the wait times longer for benefits.
I think what people are trying to say is ' use it wisely '
I just remodeled a room in my bakery to be just a decorating room and I probably spent over $300 in containers and organizing gadgets. SOOOOO worth it I love my new cake room got to use it for the first time yesterday.
I also love my new jem plunger cutters. I bought the gerber daisy set first loved them and immediately bought the rest of them.
In love with my airbrush. first one was junk no one heaven!
my birthday is coming up and I am hoping to get teh agbay slicer it has been on my wishlist for awhile.
I also recommend stocking up on hard to get supplies you use alot. I like to have back ups for an emergency.

God bless you for being a good mom and taking care of yourself. Yes I was there too with 3 children for a while. It was difficult but I always seemed to make it through. Having a little extra money to spend on yourself is a blessing. Buy some neat toys and share the experience with me.
I am a newbie only learning to decorate so I have a long and expensive wish list. I would love to have an airbrush system and one of those things that rolls out fondant for you. I think it's called a sheeter? Pan, pans, and more pans.

I would agree with the storage containers. I have my pans in a big plastic tub and all of my smaller things in a report box from the office supply store. I should probably get one of those towers with drawers to put my smaller stuff in.
I would probably get an Agbay (now that I know what it is LOL), airbrush system with all of the colors, pans, cutters, all of the tappits (now that I know what they are also, LOL), DVDs, anything that sparked my interest and get me fired up to make a cake.
Whatever you decide to get for yourself.... HAVE FUN!!! Whatever keeps you sane is a worth while investment IMO.
Buy your cake stuff and enjoy it! You would not have had this money in the first place if your freind would not have been hired where you work. At one time I was in a very bad finanical situation and didn't have much money for anything other than bills, bills, bills. You need enjoyment in your life also and if buying things for your hobby makes you happy then go for it and no regrets!!. You work hard and support yourself and there is no reason that anyone should lay a guilt trip on you for wanting to buy some cake things.
And maybe you can buy a little gift for your daughter too. Much luck to you and spend that money on YOURSELF!!! Get an Agby, Magic Line pans, Sharon/SugarShacks DVD's and whatever else your heart desires!

I have cake stuff packed all over the place and half of the time, I can't remember where I packed something. So, my choice would definitely be some sort of storage container. I think most people have given you good ideas - but invest in some books also.
Lee~ I have been in my bakery for 7 years now and have been baking and decorating in the same room. But this year we have grown too much and needed to have more space so we moved our dry storage room to the back of the bakery and took the old dry storage room and turned it into the DECORATING ROOM!
And I LOVE IT SOOOOO MUCH!!! I will have to take pics and post them. As I am working inthere I am finding more things I want to add.
First question-what is an Agbay? Sounds like something I don't have, but my husband would get for me just because he will think I should have it if it is used in cake decorating.
Congrats on the bonus. I think you should buy whatever you want for your hobby. Definitely get some storage units so you can organize. I would look into getting edible printing system, airbrush, and duplicates of pans you use the most. I would buy mostly durable goods, not too many consumables. I cover my boards with fanci-foils so I would get rolls of foil.
Just make the most of your bonus. If spending all on your hobby and you are happy then that's what counts. You can't save the world, so just please yourself.
One more thing, I always save 10% of any money that I get. Always save a little.

Having been a single mom of two at one time in my life and trying to make ends meet and taking care of everyone else too I say "SPEND THE HECK OUT OF THAT MONEY!!". First off for all of those naysayers...once you get more cake decorating equipment you can make more elaborate cakes to SELL and use that money for debt. Everyone loves cake!
I think I would buy a "Cricut"....I just saw a forum on it and it really sounds neat. I did a while back buy the magic line pans. Hated the Wilton cheapo's. Magic line is wonderful and sturdy. Buy what you want and what makes you happy. It is hard being a single mom and being the sole breadwinner. YOU GO GIRL!!! Let us know what goodies you end up buying!!!!

I think the OP was just saying why she wanted to splurge. She lives with a lot of demand on her. Being a single mom is one of them. I didn't hear any "Woes is Me" in her statements. I've been a single Mom before. We tend to put a WHOLE lot of other things first before any of our small needs. Girl I say you better run & go spend that money on some "What ever makes you happy"! 
...oh yeah, I'm with the tappets (sp?) and an airbrush machine...and a biggger stand mixer 
If I had spare $ floating around, I'd buy a 20 qt mixer!!! Oh how that would make my cake-making life easier. Or a spare fridge just for my cake stuff. If you make lots of cake with fondant, it's nice to splurge on the Satin Ice colored fondants (especially red and black.) I love my airbrush, but that would definitely fall below a 20 qt mixer. And one thing I would LOVE to have would be a speed rack!
So I say, get a speed rack, and apply the rest towards a good used 20 qt mixer. But that's just me.
For something small, the little clay gun for $25 makes life a lot easier too.

You need to mind your own business and keep your comments to yourself. You have no right to make any comments towards me. I have NEVER in my 5 years of being a single mom complained or wanted sympathy. I love being a single mom and I would not in a million years have it any other way. I'm extremely independent and I dont' need help from anyone else. Unlike some people, I can not stand drama so I would appreciate it if you would just refrain from posting anything to me or in my posts. Keep your drama to yourself please.
Yay! You tell her TheBlonde! MissCathcart is just bitter.. Likes to get on here and say nasty things to people. I would like her to post some pics of her cakes and see how "wonderful" she really is. Block her! That's what I did.. Besides I read your post.. I didn't see any victim card being pulled out of anywhere.
I am with every one else that said put it toward your credit card debt. Figure out how much interest you are paying each month, then figures how many of the monthly payments the $750 would pay. When you do that, multiply the number of payment times the interest and you will see that not only will your debt be $750 less, but you saved X amount of dollars in interest. I'll bet it is a lot.

How awful that someone asked for shoppin suggestions and others took that as an opportunity to judge and lecture!
I can't imagine if I asked someone what they thought of some baby names I had chosen (I'm PG) and instead they took it as an opportunity to tell me why I shouldn't be having a baby to begin with. Just because someone asks a question about a topic in general, doesn't mean you have the right to turn it into a personal attack.
My suggestions:
Basic tools for whatever area interests you most (gumpaste flowers? petit fours?) and lots of videos or classes.
*shakin my head* I didn't realize that the OP asked anyone whether she should put it towards her debt or splurge. That is HER decision and if she wanted lectures, she could have gone to my mother! 
Shame on you for making her feel guilty for rewarding herself for all of the work that she does!
Just goes to show you, never divulge more info than necessary because it can be used against you (one reason I don't talk to my mom anymore!)
What would I buy? Well, my DH just gave me a nice bday present and I have used it towards candy boxes, chocolate transfers, and textured rolling pins. I would LOVE to get more flower cutters and videos or just use it to take some classes (IF I could get a babysitter).
Have fun deciding! I just looked at that agbay - WOW - that would be cool, but have a problem mentally spending that kind of $ on it. ENJOY!!! And let us know what you decided on!
