Your words are golden and true. As I sat here reading, I thought to myself, "great this is the natural progression of this journey into cake decorating". Finally at the point of just being happy making them and if it's what God wants me to do fulltime then the pieces will fall into place.

Absolutely crazy...everytime I spend hours trying to make my fondant smooth, my swirls match, my colors that EXACT color of yellow that a real life lemon is...yup, I know I'm crazy. BUT, we are all talented, dreamers, and DOERS...we are not sitting on our butts thinking "what if" we are all here doing what we dream, even if it means falling flat on our faces....and creating some amazing works of cake art that draw me back here every single day to see who came up with what and drives me even more to work work work and get better.

Oh my! So true! I am new to cake decorating and am in the "I am SO not talented" box. But I keep repeating, "I'll get better with practice". I'm so glad I found this site, it keeps me chuggin' right along with all of you!
I am new to this cake biz and this is really truly what I need to go forward. I was just sitting dwn today and saying is this something I want to do. But after this inspiring post I know that ths is what I want to do.

Hello everyone, yes your post hits right at home.... You could have crawled right inside my head copied every thought word for word. I have spent so many hours on CC just reading posts, recipes, ideas and just getting inspired. I just want to thank everyone for their support. I have never seen anyone post anything negative. Even when someone asks for feedback, every comment is given with tact. Thank you CCer's.
