Ok, so I bought the Wilton mini cupcake liners and put them in the Wilton mini muffin/cupcake pan, but they seem rather loose on the sides...like "too open." So I made some keylime cupcake with them and when I removed them from the pan the liner completly pulled away from the sides of teh cupcakes...so it basically looks as though someone peeled the liner from a cupcake. Thoughts? Is there a better brand that isn't so "open" and keeps a tighter shape?

i have experienced ordinary brown/white paper liner pulling away from cupcake. i just noticed when i'm using a more of a liquid form of batter, the liner are just fine. they are intact. when i'm using my butter based batter, they pull away from the cupcake. my observation is with butter based batter, they are not equally distributed in the liner or some other may say there are air bubbles present. hope this help you in any way=)

Try using the silver or gold cupcake liners. You know the ones with the white paper liner inside of them? I never have this problem with them.

I have had the same problem with the paper liners. I have had it happen a little with regular cupcakes but all the time with mini cupcakes. I will definitely be trying out the silver ones instead.

I will say though, since my first 2 tries with mini cupcakes and the papers coming off, I have been making them without liners at all. It works for the chocolate and peanut butter minicupcakes I have done, but I will admit with the white cake ones it looked a little weird bc you can see the brown on the sides. I like not using the papers bc you dont have to peel them off and it is less mess. Since they are just about bite sized, you can just pop them in your mouth!

Are you all spraying the liners with Pam? Because that's what I was doing and my cupcake wrappers were peeling off right and left. And then someone on CC told me not to spray the liners and I haven't had any trouble since then.

Just thought I would check...
