you can print and cut off your pc.
you can buy blanks at most craft stores, then write or stamp (fairly cheap to order i think) your self.
i imagine you can order ready printed pretty ones too, then again, you could surely hole punch a business card too.

get a pack of the make them yourself business cards (at my Sam's Club - 100 sheet of 10 cards/sheet (1000 cards) is just about $6)

customize as pretty/fancy as you want (templates built in to both Word and MS Publisher)

then print them up

punch a hole

tie a ribbon

I print what I want on scrapbook paper with my computer then I use a tag shaped punch that you can get at michaels or joanns and punch out the tags. You use the punch upside down so you can see the print in centered.

Check this out! It looks like she made the tags herself. I'm sure that it's just heavy nice cardstock that she ran through her printer. Then she hole punched it and tied it with raffia ribbon.

That's what I do. Print, cut, punch, tie. I like the idea of using business card paper though. You can fit more on there, maybe even your logo. That way you don't have to figure out where to cut either....though you could just use the Avery label templates they have online and print them on plain cardstock.

I found the tags shown here at Michael's in the wedding section. There are 40 to a package at $3.99 each. They're perforated for tearing apart as well as the little hole punch. In the past I've always run off things from my printer and cut them apart and such, but was thrilled when I found these tags ready to rip apart. I've got a wedding order for 400 cookies in a couple of weeks and needed to speed up the packaging process. So, I bought all they had at Michael's then the manager was nice enough to locate 10 more packages for me from other stores to save me from running all over town. The package also provides printing instructions so I added a clipart picture and verbage to the right.
