Now that the "warning" sign is gone (on my computer anyway) about the possibility of having problems with the site because of all of the improvements and updates that they are making to CC - where are all of these great changes? Or did I miss the post telling us about the new improvements?

Does anyone know?

Hi all....For weeks things had been messed up whenever I got on CC.....I couldn't log in the right way....There were advertisements covering up the threads I was trying to read....I couldn't get to my PM messages....

Then all the sudden yesterday the warning about improvements is gone, and things are all straightened up, and I can sign in right again. thumbs_up.gif

Today, it's all back to being messed up.... icon_cry.gif Is anyone else having this problem? I just want to get on the right way, and visit with everyone, look at pictures, and get my daily needed dose of CC!

I log on daily and I've not ever had a problem like those described. But, I use Firefox (wonderful) and the ABP add on (zero ads!), so that could be the whole difference.

There are many small changes, such as with the search options, logging in, etc. There are other options when posting photos. The most noticeable thing is the pictures on the home page. The detail I can see on those scrolling pictures has kept me from posting a couple of new pics!

the disclaimer is gone, but I can't find any thing new, also can't find my forum posts, and they didn't change the way the photos are displayed. I really don't like the way they are now, thought it was much better before. I am still hoping they will go back to the old way.

I am thinking that with their wedding this weekend, maybe they just got too busy to work on the site, and will be back at it soon.

All I know is, I never had one minute of problems until the new updates were being done, then as I said, I've had weeks of it, except for yesterday......

I use firefox by mozilla too. If anyone is interested, you can download it. Then when you go to use your computer you can either start with explorer or firefox. My wife uses explorer on the same computer.

I would like to know about this FireFox/Mozzila thing...I have had all can take of having computer problems period. Perhaps the problems I'm having on here are from my end, and not CC's....It freezes up, won't let us run programs we want to check out, runs slow etc.....

I would like to know too.

When I pull up a recipe it's center justified (gives me a headache).

I get pop ups when I use IE about the site trying to get into my trusted site list - it's on every page - OMG I thought I was going to cry the other night. I know I can use Firefox & that problem resolves itself, but I do like using IE.

Some of the new layout is just not intuitive. I seem to always be looking for the "search" bottom when I want to search the galleries for something. It just seems off.

Maybe they are not done. I do truly try to never complain, things are always a work in progress, but I am going to (sheepishly) say I liked it better the old way.

I used to have lots of problems with this site in IE and I switched to FireFox, too, and it's much better.

I also use firefox with the adblock plus add on and I don't have any problems. The ABP add on really cleaned up lots of different sites.

Ditto. I LOVE Firefox so much better than Explorer. Fewer problems, crashes, etc. It's free to download and I think easier to navigate.
Have had no probs with CC. thumbs_up.gif

Download Firefox here: http://en-us.www.mozilla.com/en-US/ and then search the site to find the ABP ad block.

Just a warning about the ad block. There are, believe it or not, some sites where you want to see the ads. You can disable ads just for the site.

After using ABP for a while, I suddenly had an error message on every youtube video. I disabled ABP just for youtube, and no more problems!

I've found that life on the internet runs much more smoothly with many fewer problems now that I don't use IE. Lots of instability with that browser!

I did try googlechrome. My son is hooked on it, and it is faster, but I just didn't like that browser as much.

ziggytarheel....Thanks for sending this information...I have had all I can take of our computer acting up. I run my business web site, where I get a lot of orders, and it is just unreal when in the middle of things, it freezes up, or does a number of other stupid things.....
I can't wait to give this a try! I will let you know how it goes.....Brownie

I'm so glad you guys are finding Firefox helpful. I was very reluctant to try it, but now I can't figure out why! I've used it for quite a while now and it makes a big difference. Every so often I run into a video I want to watch that Firefox doesn't support. When that happens, I just pull up IE. But that hasn't happened in several months now.

Google Chrome is very nice and my techie son loves it (very fast), but I really do like Firefox better.
