Crusting Butter Only Buttercream?

Is there such a thing as a crusting buttercream that is only made with butter? I use SMBC and really like it but I am always hearing about crusting buttercream and wonder if it would be better to use because you can decorate it more easily.

You can make a "regular" buttercream recipe (such as the Wilton recipe) and instead of using the shortening just use all butter. It makes a great tasting icing and it crusts really well! I have it made it this way several times because my sister cannot have the shortening....
