Quoting Indydebi: "...And her comment about the customer was very arrogant .... "Oh gee, customer who is about to pay me money, what you want is just not artsy fartsy enough for me, so I'm not giving you something that YOU want, that YOU are paying for with YOUR money. I'll give you something that is in MY taste to show MY artistic talent, which is FAR superior to YOU.'

omg, even her website is too artsy fartsy to be able to tell what's going on. I just want to see pictures of her work and I dont' expect to have to click that many times and still not get to the photos! SHe's a mess in everything she does, I guess.

For those of you who are Zane fans, Norman told us in class at the NCACS that Zane does compete and win in a challenge that is yet to come.

I did luv it when the winner said "winning this one gives us real braggin rights!"

Absolutely! Not only did the person win the challenge, but won a challenge that made a cake for Kerry!! thumbs_up.gif (intentionally using pronouns so as to not give it away for anyone who hasn't seen it.)

I loved loved loved Zane's cake and was sort of surprised he didn't win. Despite that, I was pulling for Jason all along. He just seems so likeable and so talented. When he said he peed in his pants a little bit, I actually laughed out loud.

Did anyone else think psycho chick stretched it a bit when she tooks Patrick's comment as a compliment? I'm not quite sure he meant it that way. Off to look at that horrid woman's website.....

I really don't see any appeal in what she does, it's just all far out art. I'm sure in some circles it's considered talent, but it certainly doesn't fit on Food Networks challenges. I hope they don't invite her back. By the way, I'm no prude, but the 'Coco' was truly disgusting and I was embarrassed just looking at it. Yuckicon_sad.gif

Did anyone look at the 'wedding cake series'? Just blobs of something that don't look anything like wedding cake. I think maybe I'm just not hip enough to appreciate her vision? I don't know. It's just so outside the box!

I forgot to record this one! Waaaaah! I watched the Shrek one instead.

Once I figured out where the heck to look on her site...just sitting here shaking my head. I heavily support finding a cure for breast cancer, but boob in a box? And Warping Easter has an eerie nightmarish quality. It would give my kids bad dreams I think!

She's very contemporary, avant-garde even, but for a cake challenge I wish they'd dipped into the incredibly deep pool of talent here on CC.

I lurk a lot, but this made me need to post. Do people really pay her for that crap?? WOW, I watched it twice, once with my 7 year old and then again with my husband and 8 year old and we all could not imagine how she got on the show.

Unreal... Hi everyone!! icon_biggrin.gif

You're exactly right, it just doesn't fit.

This is obviously a case of FN wanting to create drama for the show. Think about it: Stevie has been there several times now, and each time she ruffles feathers (especially Kerry Vincent's!). So why on earth would they invite Stevie to make a cake for the one person who REALLY doesn't like her work? One word...RATINGS.

Stevie is a nut job. Her creations look like a nightmare. I agree that FN is trying for rating, but it's not going to work only people interested in baking or decorating are the primary viewers. I did'n't know Steive had crazy stuff on her website, can someone put up a link for it? icon_surprised.gif

LoL my sentiments exactly, while she was standing in front of the judges and Kerry told her that she came with a preconcieved idea and didnt complete a caker for her (Kerry) that nut case had the audacity to say the client isnt always right icon_eek.gif . I said to myself Oh no that B*@%H is friggin crazy...she makes no money and who says that to Kerry Vincent for christ sake. Then another poster posted her website and I took a look and I said to myself....jeez even her dang on site is a mess, If Stevie can do this THAN I FOR DAMN SURE CAN. No matter how many disasters I have.

Thanks Stevie for being "great" inspiration.....
