Does anyone have a recipe for a nice creamy chocolate frosting (like store-bought) that does not turn into fudge on the cake??

Every recipe I've used is nice when warm, but as soon as it cools or sits on the cake, it turns into a soft fudge consistancy.

It has to be something to do with the melted chocolate ingredient that re-hardens when it cools.

I've also tried adding pudding powder to my normal buttercream and that makes a nice milky chocolate color but I'm looking for a nice rich dark color of chocolate.
