Hi friends,

I'm really struggling cognitively today. Last year I did NFSC and I'm pretty sure I covered them with colored fondant. I remember making them shiny somehow but I don't remember how? icon_redface.gif I think I somehow brushed corn syrup or thinned down corn syrup on top but I don't remember. I of course don't want them "sticky" so I can't stack them together. And, I know I need to outline them with details - ? RI?

And since I need black fondant and red fondant (like last year!), should I maybe buy black and red candy melts and add them to the fondant?

Thank you for your help. I sure hope I get "back to normal" (cognitivey speaking) soon! icon_wink.gif

I can't help with the question about making the fondant shiny, but I can add something about the CandyMelts. You could always make candy clay, and apply it to the cookies like you would fondant. I haven't done it myself, but I know others have, and have had a lot of success.
