What do you have already finished/completed?
Got your boxes & boards made?
Not that you asked, but this is how I love
to do a cake. I start at the end. I know what will fit in my car, what size boxes & boards. I keep the nubbly shelf liner in the trunk or in the pocket behind my seat. Ok sometimes I have to cut it right off the shelf from under my glasses but at least I know where it's at.
I plan the boxes and packing materials to hold the flowers and extra paraphenalia like plateaus & toppers & stuff and I plan where they will fit in the vehicle.
So I've done all that stuff and there I am decorating away and in that great 'zone'
where the people around me know to back away from the growling lady who usually is pretty nice but cannot even form full sentences (they've seen it so many times before) but only grunts or spits answers (just exagerating for poetic license --kinda sorta) has that glazed look in the eyes that have receded deep into the head--desparate for a shower--Hey! wait a minute!!! tmi tmi!!! lol
But no seriously--it's a beautiful thing to meet yourself in the end there.
There's a certain point where all of a sudden you put down your decorating bag and you're finsihed. You don't have to run around and find a box, do this do that. You've met up with the Last things that you did way in advance when your brain was fresh (and your teeth were brushed) it's a very beautiful thing. Aghhhh, you've met your carefully laid plans and you can start to relax.
Just some first cake legacy thoughts for you.
