I Made Michele's Fondant in Peanut Butter, YUMMY!

Hey all,
Just wanted to let you know that I experiented yesterday with Michele's fondant. I added about 6-8oz of Reese's Peanut Butter chips to the cooking process and the outcome flavor of the fondant was GREAT! I still used the recommended vanilla and I used the new Carribbean Cinnamon creamer for the liquid.

It took about an extra cup or so of powdered sugar and was a little sticky, but it rolled out great and handled great. I needed to make a burger cake and I thought I'd try this instead of gel coloring white fondant for the bun. Take a look at my pics, the burger is not the best but the bun came out pretty well.

I'll be using this again... my next try will be on cookies.. mmmmm!

Man...I feel like a dope...when you mentioned wanting to experiment with Michele's fondant & PB in previous posts, I thought you meant PB out of a jar icon_redface.gif . Totally forgot it comes in chips too.

Your burger is awesome...I love the bun color.

Thanks for letting us know it does indeed work.

I acyually was thinking about doing it right from the jar, and when Michele replied she mentioned the chips, I totally didn't think about them either!
I had a 'DUH' moment!

I know this post was a long time ago but I have to make a choc cake with pb frosting as my brother in law's wedding cake this weekend and wanted the more elegant look of fondant, just to double check with the recipe...so I have to add the peanut butter when I'm heating the milk & gelatin over the double boiler?

Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and Reeses Peanut Butte Chips

written out they look  too much the same in my little pea brain. :duh:

I had to really read all the posts above to understand.

I kept picturing a bunch of milk chocolate candies going into the fondant......
