So today is my birthday and my boyfriend thought it would be a great idea to make a cake for me. He sees how hard I am working on starting my business.. and the past few weeks have been so hectic with me getting my kitchen and I had a bridal show this past weekend... so he wanted to do somthing special for me... Now he has absolutely no baking or decorating experience whats-so-ever... But he found my cake and icing recipes and used some left over fondant from this past weekend. He leveled and iced and covered without any help and here is what the finished cake looks like... notice the neon candles beside the cake... and the cake board does not match the cake at alll.... but I am giving him an A+ for making my day so special...!!!

Thanks everyone... he really is GREAT!! I asked him how he got the fondant so smooth on the cake and he said "oh that white ironing board thing" ... I must of had a confused look on my face cuz he then went to the cupboard and got my wilton fondant smoother... All i could do is laugh... white ironing board thing....
I was surprised that he even knew how to use it... so i asked him and he told me "well i see you use all the time.. so I thought i needed too".
