Also know as the Orign of Love. I need to design a wedding cake around this musical. If anyone has heard of it, and has any ideas on what I can do, I would really appreciate it!!! Thanks for your time. Brandi

Wow, I DO! icon_lol.gif My SIL worked on the film as a costume designer.

It's fantastic and you'll have so much to work with in designing a cake based on it. Fun, fun, fun!!

OMG just came upon an old post where you said your SIL was a costume designer for Hedwig & the Angry Inch movie.  I'm a HUGE fan, and now that the show is on Broadway here in NYC, have see it 3 times, all with the amazing John Cameron Mitchell in the lead.

Sadly, his run ends next week and I'm desperate to go to his last show... hoping to find some last minute ticket deals (if it doesn't sell out) and bring him a Hedwig cake or cupcakes.

Don't suppose your SIL is still in touch with him?  Would she have any pointers or private jokes or something that I can use for the cupcake/cake design?  I plan to wait after the show (he usually comes out and signs playbills) and give it to him then... or just post pics of it online for all the Hed Heads :)

Oh such a long story but I didn't end up making a cake for johns closing night. I did do a Hedwig figure but I didn't have time to make the cake bc I went out of town the few days prior. But bonus was that I met John (out at a bar after he had left the roll) and at least got to show pics of it to him and he was incredibly complimentary and amazing about it (and in general).

Subsequent to that I also met Stephen Trask (composer, lyricist and co-creator) and together we made a plan for me to make a cake for Taye Diggs opening night last month. That went over huge and actually got in the newspaper!  I also made a to-scale Tony award cake for Stephen (since he's rarely recognized for his amazing contributions to the show).

Sadly the show closed last Sunday but I was first row center and had a very memorable night.  I haven't had time to add my Hedwig cake pics to cake central yet but they are up on my site ittybittybakerynyc.com
