Here is one I made recently, I used little plastic cups I got at a party store like you would get salad dressing in at a restaurant (I think they were 3 oz. cups)
Then I stapled them together in a circle (I used 7 cups), then hot glued the cups (after they were stapled) into a flower pot.
Then I stuck in all the cupcakes (I iced them using a #124 rose tip...a big one)
Then put a couple little filler flowers around and a ribbon.

It took me less than 20 min. from start to finish (not counting baking time for the cupcakes)

If I'm reading this correctly, you didn't use a styrofoam ball, just glued the plastic cups to the flower pot?

AI did this last year, and I had a helper. She pushed down too hard setting some of cupcakes in, and the hot glue detached. So just be gentle.

Just a mention to the recent newcomers to CakeCentral (welcome by the way!), this thread started in 2009.  However, the photos posted by KHalstead (a cupcake goddess), are still valid.  This is a very effective, quick, economical way to make cupcake bouquets.

Here's a longer thread with photos on the Wilton forum:

http://www.wilton.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=4&threadid=147115&FTVAR_MSGDBTABLE=

Be sure and read the ENTIRE thread since the author changed and improved the method after getting input from other bakers.   Here is an excerpt from page 3 of the thread above:

"Look at MickeeBabe's Friday Feb 11, 2011 8:45 PM post on page 1 of this thread (the link above). You'll see 4 photos. Use a 6" pot. Use 2 oz. plastic cups. Hot glue the cups into the pot. (The cups will automatically create a "dome" because they have slanted sides.) There is nothing under the 2 oz. plastic cups except air.

If you read the entire page 1 of this thread you'll see that I started out using an 8" pot and 5 oz. cups with 3-1/2 cups inside each 5 oz. cup. That was me learning how to do this. It worked, but Mickeebabe's method works better, looks better, and is cheaper and easier. I do it her way now that she showed me how.

After you've hot glued the plastic cups into your pot, you can either put in unfrosted cupcakes and frost them IN the pot, OR, frost the cupcakes, then carefully insert into the cups.

After all your cupcakes are frosted and decorated, you poke the filler in the spaces between the cups. You can either use 4-6" squares of tissue paper (like the green "leaves" in an example), or use decorative "shred".

ALol. I usually notice those dates. But those are still popular, so thank you, Apti for providing a great tutorial link.
