While I won't be any help with the pricing as I have only done them as freebees on large orders and have never charged for them alone. With that being said I would recommend and get absolute rave reviews with good ol' cream cheese mints. Simple and quite yummy.

No, like wedding mints and graduations mints. Like butter or cream cheese mints. LOL

Maybe you could figure out what the store charges for a similar product and base your pricing off of that. Sorry, that's all I can suggest. Hope you find your answer!

Ditto!

I can't be of any help in the pricing either, but If they want "molded" mints, beware. The molds for those are quite pricey and it takes time to get the candies done. HTH

Good Luck!

I've ate these before. Decent tasting. (I liked the lemon but most people expect the mint flavor.) This recipe came off the internet, so if there's a better one, then please post! icon_biggrin.gif

CREAM CHEESE MINTS

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 to 1 tsp. desired flavoring
Food coloring
2 (1 lb.) boxes powdered sugar, sifted
Granulated sugar
TIPS: Yellow for lemon; pink for peppermint; green for mint

In mixer bowl beat cream cheese until soft. Add desired flavoring and coloring. Gradually add powdered sugar mixing until dough is very thick and heavy, but not dry. Roll in small balls. If you wish, dip in granulated sugar. Makes 130 mints. Keeps in refrigerator 3-4 weeks. Freezer several months.

As far as pricing goes, just tally up the ingredients and then double it....just a suggestion

So did you decide how much you are going to price the mints? Just curious!

Are these used as favors? Is it a regional thing? I've never heard of them either. But they sound delicious!

I love these mints. I am orginally from the midwest and they were made for graduations, showers, weddings etc. I have have used my 7 cup food processor to do most of the work for me. I process the flavorings and cream cheese together first and then add the powdered sugar. You may not be able to add all the powdered sugar while processing them in the food processor.

Finish by adding the rest of the powdered sugar by hand.

I roll the mixture out and use small cookie cutters to cut shapes for cakes or cupcakes.

Funny but I was just talking to mom about these this morning. I learned how to make them from her. Oh and I usually substitute peppermint for vanilla when I make them for cake and cupcake decorations

There was another thread a while back discussing pricing.

Oops I mean I use vanilla for peppermint when I use it on cakes and cupcakes.

I remember that thread and tried to find it, with no luck. Some times it seems that things disappear around here!
