Hi guys!

I have a baby shower cake coming up and the customer wants a fondant teddy bear as the topper. She actually saw it here and it was done by "Cakes by TMT". It will need to be roughly 5 inches tall. I have never done one of these before "a bear" and need advise on how to do it.

I watched to video of aime making the miniture teddy bear and was wondering if the technique is basically the same to make a larger one.

Any advise would be great...or, TMT...if you are out there, any advise would be appreciated since yours was the one she really liked.

Thanks!

Wanda

I would say basically the same as a small bear. But i would let the body dry before adding the head I would use an internal support too. Probably wire for something that large.

Hi Wanda, did you watched aine2's video? Its the same technique. Just use larger pieces. Are you going to make it with all fondant? I would do it with 50/50 mix of gumpaste and fondant or 1/2 teaspoon of cmc/tylose added to 250g fondant.

HTH.
