I am making a cake this weekend for my nephew's birthday and i wanted to do something with Peanut Butter cup filling, so I wanted to seeif anyone can tell me what flavor of cake would best compliment this. Keep in mind that he doesnt really like chocolate cake, and I think plain vanilla might be a bit too 'yawn' so any other ideas would help greatly! thumbs_up.gif

Chocolate chip? French Vanilla? Lemon? Cherry/cherry chip (add some chopped maraschino cherries &/or juice to white cake)

(I'm sorry, I was lurking on the other thread and my demented sense of humor just couldn't resist it!!)

Anywhoo..... how about strawberry? I'm thinking peanut butter & jelly.
Banana sounds good, too.

hmmm? Imagine a White cake layer with pb filling, white cake layer with strawberry or banana filling, white cake layer with either marshmellow filling or another layer of pb (or you could put the pb in the middle.

make three or four sections of a cake. (have you ever had a pb/banana/marshmellow sandwhich - when I was a kid, I absolutely loved these.)

I bet your tastebuds will sing ....

I would say if you did like a fruity cake...Strawberry, Raspberry, Blueberry...that way it would be like peanut butter and jelly! PB BC...so good if you've never had it...then like the flavor of the cake...sooo tasty!
