Morning all!

Ah I'm over the Zoella thing now haha, just sad to think that people who work their butt off for a living can't catch a break and people who make youtube videos get to buy a house outright haha!

I'm gonna be busy today, lots of posting going on as I'm selling a load of things I've sorted out from the house.

Can I just check with @nannycook121 @Tiddylicious and @maisie73 that we;re still meeting up on Monday inside the Ystrad shop or outside or wherever and at what time because I have 11am in my head for some reason? x

Wish I could go to your meet up too!

How on earth does anyone earn anything from youtube? Ads? Endorsements?

I read an (scathing) article about Zoella. She was quoted as saying  something in the lines of 'girls shouldn't fret about their appearance'. I guess she's too stupid young to see the irony :???:

Jean I have found out that Katie Hopkins had a go at her online for not writing her own book and got her editorial team to do it for her instead. Some of the fans responses have been absolutely ridiculous. I am literally in tears here reading through them. Did you know that, and I quote: ZOELLA SAVED 6 MILLION LIVES AND KATIE HOPKINS SAVED 0

Honestly, the world has gone mad for the internet... say's I talking on a forum about cake decorating because I have no one in real life to chat about it with in such depth and/or real people who will take the time to laugh and joke about the things I find funny? Haha there's a reason why I have a VERY small group of friends outside the internet... maybe I'm not a people person... maybe actually I just don't suffer fools, yep that's probably it!

I really need to get my arse in gear and figure my day out, so much to do and I'm sat here doing nowt haha! Such a procrastinator!

Found out today I'm going to be an auntie again for the 5th time, my sister in law is due in August. Love babies!

Getting way to broody for my own good though!

AThanks Roxy I'm still debating over what to do. I'm hoping when she puts it on her facebook it might generate more orders but when I give my price usually nobody wants to pay it.

Do you know what, who the hell is this Zoella bird?

I'm sick of hearing about her from young girls who idolise her channel on youtube... so I looked her up.

She is

THE MOST ANNOYING GIRL I HAVE EVER EVER EVER! ENCOUNTERED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!

Then I go on to find out she just bought a £1m house in South Devon.

F**k you Zoella, f**k you and your stupid makeup tutorials...

P.S. Not jealous at all.

Hi guys (in the tone of Zoella, lol) my 8 year old watches her all the time and the rest of them there seems to be a few of them - a sprinkle of glitter, Tanya Burr to name a few. My son saw online yesterday about the house and called us to look. It's unbelievable that she's managed to buy it at her age as well, I don't think she has a job outside YouTube does she? Bethany Mota is another one although she's American and hasn't bought a million pound house (I don't think) she's my daughters absolute favourite, I think she's just been on dancing with the stars and according to my daughter has just met Barack Obama. Again all for being a you tuber. Also the "saving 6 million lives has had me howling with laughter" that is hilarious. Proper die hard fans.

Aaah congratulations and snap my fifth niece or nephew is due in August too. My teachers just announced she's pregnant and due in August too. They're the only babies I will be cooing over and although it does make me a little broody I definitely do not want anymore of my own, lol.

Also I'm the same I only have a handful of friends,(none of who i could ever talk cake with) it gets me down sometimes but there's not much I can do about it. I have all you lovelies on here anyway. I genuinely look forward to coming on and seeing everyone's posts. I love that we have our own little caking family.

Ah congratulations Loubee! I can't believe the house ether, it's beautiful!

I do enjoy coming on here, even though I've been absent for such a long time! It really is like a family and it's so nice to hear about everyone lives!

I am absolutely in the most foul mood today and I can't shake it. I've even had a go at the Cake Page Circle on Facebook. Which I've now left...

You guys know me, I am honest and sometimes brutal and blunt. That's just me! So someone asked if her Alice in Wonderland figure was good. I basically said no because it looks like a budget *** doll.... because it did! Haha. I'm not apologising because 1 it's my opinion and she asked for it... 2 she gets on my last nerve on there and I just dislike the person... 3 because why should I be false?

So I just posted that I was leaving because I don't fit in the "expectations" God I'm so peed off today it's unreal!

Posted this:

I joined this group because I thought that it was a place where we can share our creations. I thought that we could help each other, gain experience and overall become better cake decorators.

It appears that in my time I have been here, there has been nothing but arguments whether about cake, opinions, recipes, how to store things...

When someone asks for an opinion, I give it. If someone asks for advice, I give it if I have it.

I won't apologise for what I say because what I do say is 100% honest. 100% justified and 100% true to me so that I am not false. I do not beat around the bush.

It's with regret that I will be leaving this group, it is quite obvious that I do not fit in the "expectations".

Goodbye.

Then left haha! Someone give me chocolate PLEASE :cry::cry::cry:

Loubee just letting you know the boards I ordered from party animal through ebay arrived at 9.30 this morning that is usually the way with them, if not they arrive the day after, normally though that's because I placed the order the order in the afternoon.

AI'm the same, I've always had a few good friends rather than a ton of people I know causally. Most of the time I like it just like that, but then there's the days when I fancy meeting up with people and think 'right, I've exhausted my small last of people I really want to spend time with, guess it's just us tonight then!'

Now, don't flame me, but I'm about to slightly stick up for that zoella girl! Bear in mind, I've watched one video and I haven't read a single comment so I could be way off, but the very first thing she said on the one I watched was not to ever make yourself up just for a boyfriend or because you feel you need to please anyone, only do it too make yourself feel good. Honestly, I don't think that's a bad message to send to little teeny bopper girlies.

That said, I'm not about to watch another one cos she's too damn perky for words!

OMG kelsey, you didn't give an honest opinion did you!!?? Don't you know that when anyone on that page asks for you 'really honest opinion, please don't be nice' they're actually saying 'please tell me I'm wonderful and should start a business and will take over the world with my awesome cake decorating abilities'? You might have guessed I also left it a while ago :-D

Congrats on everybody becoming aunties :-)

AKelsey we missed you when you were gone and it's lovely to see you on a daily basis now.

Why is it that cake type groups and things are so bit-chy and nasty? They're never supportive and never help one another out. They also it seems never want to be told the truth, lol. Good on you Kelsey for speaking your mind and not sugar coating it. I personally would rather be told the truth about my work and if it doesn't look good i'd rather be told as it would save the embarrassment of giving it to somebody and then being disappointed. It wasn't like you was being nasty either Kelsey you said it in a nice way. Anyway I think your best out of it all. I hope your mood has managed to improve a little. Hope you got your chocolate too.

Jean I hope you're having a better day today, yesterday just sounds so hectic.

Roxy that's great service, I'll have to give them a try too. I've ordered ribbon and a pearl maker thing from ebay so far but that's it.

Right I really should get on with some uni work as I'm a week behind and have an 2000 word assignment due in tomorrow, I'll probably still spend the afternoon doing anything but that, Aaah the pressure.

Nanny we'll have to organise one big meet up for everyone one day, it would be so lovely for everyone to meet.

OMG!  You lot are on form.  142 messages since I last logged on.  Which I think may have been yesterday?

Anyway, just a quickie, because once again, I'm not on-line...  I'm working.  ;o)

Saw a video of something like this on FB and I loved it.  Mine is nowhere near as good, but it was just a bit of fun.  Only did it as I had some cookie dough and royal icing spare (did an order of party favours).  I'd have to practice a bit more and take my time if it was for an order...  but a quick bit of fun...

AArgh, I hate it when you take the washing out of the machine but you're too lazy to get the basket, and every time you get the load in your arms something (usually my knockers) falls out, so you bend over to pick it up and then something else falls, and so on and so forth, until you're in a really bad mood all for the sake of one trip upstairs.

AIt's not just me then who drops a trail of socks on the way to the bedroom, then pick up socks and the knickers fall, get my hair off and launch it on the bed and stomp like a baby elephant to collect them while muttering how it's ALWAYS me who has to do it, I swear he's ALLERGIC to putting washing away, he can make his own dinner now cause I've exhumed all of my energy... Bahaha! Not just me on the last part surely?

Kathy it's just flower paste and sugarpaste mix. Make them in to a cone and flatten the bottom. From the top using a pair of tiny scissors snip little triangles down to the bottom in brick formation like this: X X X X X X X X

I am stuffed. I had a sod it day and ate about 12 pancakes. Most were filled with Nutella, the other few were filled with pancake and nutella. Pancake sandwich! Hahaha. I feel ill.

ALoubee, exactly what kelsey said, just shape a cone, easier with a really fine sharp sissors, start from the top (I did anyhow) make your first row of snips, then right underneath those but in between the first row snip the 2nd row and so on, hope that helps?

OK - I've left that group too - I got fed up with them to be honest.  Maybe my FB page will go back to normal now.

Oh that wasn't me Kelsey - I didn't do trees - well except for the rice crispie ones on my garden cake.
