AHi all.

Fab cakes Marvel, I have seen them all on FB.

Nanny, I missed your cake with your first time models. It's a cracking cake.

Mel, love the colour of your wedding cake. It's a really sweet cake.

Kuushi, I'll have your leftovers!

Hope everyone else is good this evening. It's a bit difficult browsing on my phone. I much prefer my laptop!

AI was pleased with it Jean as it was literally the first ever stacked cake with models i'do ever made, kinda made me think, why on earth did I stop making cakes, I do know why it was because I started work full time. So glad I started back up again, love making cakes have to be honest, mind you ask me again after Dec 21st, see if it's the same, ha ha.

ANanny, how many flowers, or was it hollies & berries, for the wedding cake?

AJean, it's tiny holly and berries around each tier then a poinsetta with so trailing ivy on the top, and some really nice gold ribbon, and possibly some little Christmas roses. Really hope it looks ok.

I glazed the holly the other day so they look shiny.

Naked 2 is lovely too, I just love the shimmeryness of the naked 3 and the warm colours in that palette!

Apart from doing cakes, I'm a qualified beautician and specialise in HD brow and eyelash extensions. I do nail and tan treatments too but HD brows are my THING! hahah!

Eye lure is sort of like buying Tesco sp instead of using satin ice. Your eyes are so sensitive and if it's your first time using eye products go for something like benefit as they are kind to all skin types!

I achieved this brow with a thread, natural brown tint and the angled brush and shadow with highlighting pencil. My eyeshadow is from naked 3 pallet and mascara is YSL shocking and skinny eyeko mascara. Obviously I thread and tint my own bros but you can't to any salon and ask for hd brow with a tint and you'll get your basic shape. The shadow is for filing in the gaps to get that super defined look.

If you need any beauty advice girls give me a shout! Always here to help!

By the way, the pie was amazing haha!

Thanks for all the advice hun. I'll deffo give the eyelure a miss then. Haha. I'm screenshot ting everything you're saying and I'm going to have a go this week at some point.

[quote name="chezzabelle" url="/t/622656/a-thread-for-all-uk-bakers/22230#post_7564422"] I love that mascara it's fab, I am panicking now about my age (I know I am not mega old but can start seeing the difference) and thought wearing make up might hide it or at least make me feel better but I just don't really get time to put it on in the week day mornings

AChezza they all seem quite neutral colours so should suit most people I think. Kelsey can probably advise better though.

Thanks girls! :)

Nic, don't get worried about the pallets. Take a look at this, these are swatches from the pallets:

In Debenhams now they are all 10% off so you can get them at £33.30 each which is well worth it.

I love Naked 3 because of how simplistic the colours are, literally goes with everything as I have blue eyes, Earth tones go well with my skin tone.

Hope this helps you though :)

Sorry to turn this in to makeup talk, lol.

Nic, you mentioned you wanted to get in to makeup and as much as I can gather you don't have much experience? I can't advise you more than to go for the bareMinerals starter kit, which is perfect if you're starting out.

You don't need to learn foundation brush techniques, contouring and shading, you don't even have to have 30+ products in your makeup bag like I do haha!

You may need to go in to a larger store at Debenhams for this who have a bareMinerals stand unless your quite confident at your completion already.

http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_123035008599_-1

It's £30 at the moment with the money off at Debenhams it's normally £50, and it has everything you need including the brushes.

You put on the primer if you have really bad skin, or leave it out if your skin is okay.

You swirl the large brush in the foundation pot and tap of excess and swirl it all over your face, as much or as little as you like until you feel you have the coverage as you want.

Then you do the same with the veil, just to hold it all in and to stop it sweating off. Then you use the warmth which is optional which is uses as blusher, etc..

It's so non-toxic you can sleep in it and it will feed your skin nutrients :) Honestly a wonder product!

Honestly bareMinerals is soo great. If I wasn't so happy already with my current routine I'd do it myself. I recomended it to my sister in-law the other week and she bought it and has quite bad acne and she said she will never ever go back to MAC, it's THAT good!

Let me see if I can find a pic of what it does...
