I'm rather groovy thank you  to be honest I was a bit surprised it came out so well lol! It looked totally naff just as a red and white cutout of the players stuck on the green so I had to keep going and going till it worked!
Right I'm an hour over my curfew so no more caking..... Jees this castle is freaking me out its sooooooo much work!
ALovely pics from CI ladies you all look lovely and I love seeing your caking hauls.

Thanks Kathy but I don't think I'm ready for that yet. My friend sadly seems to have gone into some sort of competition with me though I don't know why, I taught her to make roses and helped make things for one of her cakes a while ago and let her borrow a lot of my stuff but the last few months it's like she is keeping everything a secret that she buys and does and isn't keeping in touch as much.
How strange your friend now acts like that, like you say it's not like your competition for business. Glad you've stopped the free tutorials though and its her loss at the end of the day.
Petite I'm looking forward to the ferrari cake.
A[quote name="Siany01" url="/t/622656/a-thread-for-all-uk-bakers/20565#post_7560310"] I'm doing the kitties on a pillow cake one. Odd question, do you have to source your own supplies or are they provided?
AOh yeah, go on blame me! Remind me how much you spent tidds? Ha ha ha.
The tiffany set! Omg, you mean I missed those? Which ones are they then tidds?
I bought the leaf stencils, some lovely lustre dusts, xmas bauble stencils, santa sleigh, butterfly stencils, cute birds et etc.

Normally Debbie sends out an email saying what you need to bring, and that is usually just what size cake/ dummy and board and how much SP to bring, but that is when she is hosting the workshop. I assume you are going to another venue. I normally take my own bag of tools with me anyway. I have to say though she works with minimal tools; small knife, smoother, paintbrush. Amazing what she achieves with so little.
If you are going to another venue, I would contact them and ask if they are providing equipment if Debbie hasn't contacted you.
No I have had a list of what to bring. I have just never had to take my own stuff before. Found it a little odd lol. I decided to take a cake instead of dummy so I can learn how to make the cushion shape. :)

That must be because your venue isn't providing. You'll have a great time.

 well its either you or Kathy! haha! mind you Roxy is quite bad too :D
  Just waiting for my new toys to arrive! Got a lizard skin impression mat coming (fingers crossed) and a stilletto former!
Big favour to ask you all - would some of you please do a survey for my daughter? She is working on her final year project in tandem with a software company. Part of the project is to provide findings from the community. If you could complete it (takes 2 minutes tops) that would be brilliant. Thanks everyone.

Kathy
Thanks Roxy and Nanny - that's really kind of you.
I haven't got the mat yet! It's coming from China! :( I got it from Ebay - this is the item description: Silicone Fondant Mould Impression Mat Alligator Skin Cake Decorating Tools Craft
They have 3 left! Worth a punt I thought. I have had other things from Hong Kong before and they were fine. Just a bit worried that I ordered it 2 weeks ago...... oh well, it wasn't a fortune.
Kathy
AMorning all (survey done Kathy :))
You guys would so have laughed at me at CI.... I'd have had to mull over everything I wanted five times and then it would have sold out..... I'm soooo bad at spending money! You got some amazing things! those cutter sets look fab!
Thanks Gray! Yes - those cutters look amazing....... I think I might just have to go and register on that site!
Carpe diem Gray! Can't afford to dither otherwise stocks might run out!
kathy
Kathy I ordered an onlay mould from hong kong a couple of weeks ago and that hasn't arrived yet either but the post does seem to be taking a bit longer lately so I'm sure both of ours will turn up soon.
AShall I take a pick of everything I bought especially for stephen Benison stand?
