AI agree roxy, from now on it's officially a true love party. :-)

Lmao, good idea Jean, she would expect trolls tho so maybe not. Made me chuckle all the same.

Doctors appointment on a Sunday loubee????? Never heard of that before. Hope it's nothing serious, enjoy your lazy day. I'd get the cake frame if I were you. I often have stuff sat in boxes but they're there when I need them.

Hi tiddy, don't spend too much! Did you get a photo with nanny and Siany?

Oh I said a few times I was going on Sat but didn't want to push myself forward. Next year eh?

The sheeter would be lovely (first time I have seen them there) but don't have the space. It would help my rubbish wrists though. Bet Tiddy comes back with one!!;-) - she has a cake room so plenty of space.

Did get a photo with PB though!

There were some amazing cakes but this was one of my favourites.

I know shocking isn't it Maisie, lol, they're usually shut all weekend but are opening weekends 8am-11am for a couple of months throughout winter to cope with extra demand. Nothing serious at all Maisie just my yearly check up so I can get my contraceptive pill prescription, she actually had it signed and ready for me just had to check my blood pressure. I'll have a look at the cake frame properly later on when I go on my laptop Maisie I might spend some of my birthday money on it.

ALovely photo Lynne. :-) And that cake is amazing. It looks like an ornament, it's brilliant.

You can't actually see anything on the website loubee but the YouTube links roxy put on last night are good, you get to see some of the different bits being used.

Awww thanks Loubee I am really pleased with it actually , for a change lol. I would definitely get a cake frame even if you just use it just for tiered cakes for support. Here are the videos they email to me about it.

David is his partner. He runs some of the Pro lessons which deal more with the business side of things.

AThanks for reposting the links Roxy I'll have a look when on the laptop later on. Also you're right roxy I always worry when making tiered cakes so it could be useful for those.

Catsmum lovely picture, to be honest before coming on here I had no idea who Paul Bradford was

Oh right I only have the free lessons so that's why I haven't seen him.

Loubee I didn't know who Paul was before I came on here either glad it's not just me. I love the pretty witty cakes tutorials I had a it free for two weeks a while ago, can't afford to have another monthly bill at the moment but would love to get the subscription later on.

Lol glad it wasn't just me either Roxy. I really like PWC there's loads of fab tutorials on there but I totally get what you're saying about the monthly expense.

Thanks Loubee. I subscribe to both PB and Pretty Witty Cakes and love both. Like you though I don't get to watch enough but hoping for a bit more time when I go into semi retirement next year.

I have all of Debbie Brown's books but nothing can beat working directly with her, seeing how she does things in person and get to ask her questions. I love going to her workshops as she has small classes, is a marvellous teacher, very talented and lovely with it. Best thing is that she is very encouraging. I have heard of some cake decorating teachers who belittle their pupils.

I really need to make more of an effort and try and go on at least once a week, there's so much on there and I really should watch more stuff. There's just not enough hours in the day is there.

This year I've done Sleepy Dragon and next week doing Cinderella. Previous years The Flinstones, Noah's Ark, Crying Babies, Baby Castle, Magical Owl, Bride and Groom and Sea Palace. As you know apart from her Wedding Cakes book she does mainly children's cakes. She has such an eye for detail and great imagination.  It was a great relief to my DH when I told him he need never worry about birthday/Christmas pressies for me as a Debbie Brown gift voucher was top of my list!!

Lynne lovely photo with Paul!  Now I really am jealous.  Sounds like you had a great time.

M4rvel that was me who mentioned the Jennifer Lawrence cake - that girl is amazing - Tasty Cakes on FB.  I would love to see more pics if you have them.

Barbara - how was your (birth)day then?  Buy loads?

(Maisie - I bought a cake frame on Friday - my daughter is already planning what we are gonna do with it!!)

Roxy fireworks were good as always! We all love them :)

How much is a sheeter. Bet its a couple of hundred pounds (or more?!?!)

Jean - glad you enjoyed the fireworks - it poured here so it put me off going out.  If you put "fondant sheeter" into Ebay  you will see the prices!  Lol - look at the one with the pic of the rolling pin - the quip is "does the same as a sheeter but at a fraction of the cost"!!

Me too if I was more than a hobby decorator AND had the space! Mainly because rolling SP for big cakes hurts my wrists.

Me too Lynne - I have RSI - typing for 40+ years and caking take their toll.  Been wondering if The Mat would make it any easier.....does anybody have one?

Yes I have one. It's great for lifting and placing the SP and not getting elephant skin, but makes no difference to rolling out. SP doesn't dry out which is a real bonus.
