Hi Gray

I haven't got those baskets I'm afraid - I tried to PM you a quick message but for some reason I'm not getting anywhere ... so if you get two empty messages from me (as you can't tell if they have been sent or not) then I'm not going mad, I just couldn't write in the box!  I hear they are expensive.  Have you got any ADRs?  (Dining reservations?).  If not - then I suggest at least one character breakfast.

Tip - take photocopies of the front and back of your tickets - keep these separate.  If you are going to Universal - do the same.  You can also buy a special Ride Photo package - photos from the rides are around $16 + tax as I recall.  You can buy this from guest services or at the photo counter of one of the rides - it's quite cost effective.  Last year we bought the Photopass+ which was very good but we did struggle at times to find photographers.  I later found out that they reduced the photographers in line with crowd levels.  Typical.

Kathy

Aw thanks Suzanne, they werent as bad to cut out as I thought, but the shaper really did help neaten it all up and smooth any iffy bits, definitely recommend it - Im going to get some more! Want to try making modelling choc and doing more wax paper method cakes similar to Jessica Harris' - love her style!

Yay for your Grandad finally cutting his cake Gray LOL, I cant say I blame him though - its stunning! And well done for fixing the seat booking too, well spotted!

Siany, gingerbread biscuits have turned out fairly well using the mixer, little shinier on the tops that usual, and maybe a little firmer but they taste ok and have a decent snap, so I'm happy. I think I probably mixed a little too much, but will know for next time! And I've only eaten 3 1 test cookies so far..... :D Glad you and Bastian are feeling better.

Not long to your holiday now Kuuushi, are you packed yet? ;)

Tiddy, well I have no idea what's going on, so it will be a surprise to me LOL! Hope you find your cake mojo/ninja soon x

Fab cakes Jo, I love the little horse, so cute!! I've had a request for a horse shaped cake for 10 people this week. Have to admit I'm struggling with designing this - a 3D horse for 10?! A My Little Pony maybe......LOL! Would rather do a little topper to be honest, but they are adamant it has to be a horse shaped cake :/ Dont think they realise how much its going to cost for such a small cake either!

Hi Lisa! I'm the same as Suzanne really, I have a 'costs' price for ingredients/consumables etc and then a basic rate for simple work (baking/washing up/shopping etc) and a more costly rate for the more 'skilled' work e.g. detailed decorating, sugar flowers etc. I try to stick to 20% profit but to be honest it wavers depending on the job/client!

Right, Im off to eat more gingerbread start sorting dinner! :D

Lizzy/Nanny/Bashini/Roxy/Marvel - hope you guys are all ok x

Mel - we tried making modelling chocolate a couple of months ago and it was an unmitigated disaster!  We followed a recipe to the letter but it was greasy and quite simply nasty.  Let me know how you get on as we obviously did something wrong!

Yeah - haven't heard from Bashini for ages......  Nanny has messaged me via FB to say she dropped her tablet and it needs to be repaired.  I know she misses everyone.

Aw poor Nanny! Hope you get it fixed soon x

LOL Kathy I'm sure my foray into modelling choc will not go smoothly, given that I'm so hit and miss with ganache, but I will let you know! :)

LOL hilarious! Did you see him and Will Smith on Graham Norton a few months back? So funny!

Yes very funny LOL! We love Graham Norton- always guaranteed a good laugh- except when Robert De Niro's the guest. Any humour he has he reserves for movies!

AThinking of making some galaxy ganache tomorrow for cupcakes, as massive bars of it are on offer for £2 at asda. Can I ask what quantities you use tiddy?

AHave any of you lovely bakers got a egg free cake recipe?? Just found out a boy invited to my sons party is allergic to egg and now my son doesn't want a cake cos it wouldn't be fair on his friend so we have compromised and I said I would make a few cupcakes/small cake just for him then realised after I opened my mouth I actually don't have a egg free recipe

Tiddy, can it ask what cream you use with Galaxy? I've not had much success with any milk choc ganache and I'm wondering if it's maybe the type of cream?
