Hi, I meant to say "teacup" cupcakes in the subject line

I'll be attempting my first batch of these and was hoping you would share some helpful tips.

Should I bake the cupcakes without liners?
I'd like to make the "teacup" around the cupcake out of fondant or fondant/gumpaste. Can I make the "cup" a couple of weeks ahead (I need 36) and just drop the cupcakes in them at the last minute?

What would you guys suggest to make the "teacup"? Fondant/gumpaste mix or just gumpaste or just fondant?

If there's anything else I didn't mention that you can think of I'd appreciate your input.

TIA for any help/suggestions icon_smile.gif
