Does anyone have a recipe for Whipped Cream Icing that would be stiff enough to decorate with?

Concerning BC, I've heard you can cut the sweetness by adding salt. How much salt would need to be added to a batch of BC?

I would greatly appreciate any help anyone could give!!

When people ask me for whipped cream, I usually use bettercreme cause it holds up very well. As for the salt it depends on the recipe, but I usually use between 1/4 and 1/2 teaspoon. Hope this helps!

Thank you.
The person I'm dealing with doesn't like things overly sweet. I guess I'm looking for a recipe similar to Publix Icing. Does anyone have that recipe and would be willing to share with me? You can PM it to me if you'd like.
PLEASE help, this is very important!!

I recently made Sharon's - Sugar Ed Productions buttercream icing and to me it tastes like whipping cream. You can google SugarEdProductions and it shows a you tube clip.

ShortcakesSweets, I'm sorry that I can't be of any help to you. I, too, am looking for a similar icing, so I hope someone can help! I would love the Publix recipe as well if anyone has that.

courtney1009, where do you purchase your bettercreme? I've not used it before. Does it crust well? I just called Sam's Club and they carry it, so I was thinking of trying it.

I believe it's a supermarket if I'm remembering correctly from a previous post. I haven't personally seen one yet.

It's a grocery store. I'm not sure, but I think they only have them in the south. They have wonderful whipped icing.

Is the Publix mock cream? Our supermarkets often use mock cream and I love it! Real cream makes me feel ill - it gives me that pain right up my jaw and down my throat but I could mock cream by the truckload!

I buy bettercreme at a local cake decorating store. They also sell it at Gordon Food Service (GFS) If you have one. It doesn't crust.

OK not sure if this is it or not but it seems like it could be I found this looking around for some recipes. I am new to the cake game and just learning and this is my first post.

1 packet of Dream Whip
1/2 C. Cold Water
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 TBSP butter, softened
3 Tablespoons heavy whipping cream
2 Cups Shortening
2 lbs. Powered Sugar

Combine dream whip, water, and vanilla with a mixer in a deep bowl until combined on low; Increase speed to high and whip until mixture begins to look fluffy (approximately 4 minutes).

Add shortening, whipping cream, and butter. Combine with mixer on low speed, scraping sides of bowl as needed. Once combined, mix on high for approximately two minutes. It should look like frosting at this point. Add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition.
