I'm looking into ordering supplies to do edible images. I have never actually eaten a cookie with an edible image on it. How does it change the "mouth-feel" of a NFSC using RI?
edible images usually don't change the taste. The rice paper images (to me) change everything about a cookie - not for the better.
Old thread, but a new question to me. I want to try food coloring rubber stamping on icing sheets & place on cookies.
How do these icing sheets taste? how do they feel when eaten on a cookie? (before I spend $30 dollars on icing sheets some opinions would be nice) I already have wafer papers for cookies, would like to try the sugar icing sheets also.
Cheers,

For buttercream, the longer the image lays on the cookie, the less you can taste the image. The fat from the icing absorbs the image and makes it part of the icing, therefore making the image where you can't taste the difference. Most of the time, I can't even tell there is a sugar sheet there. My buttercream has a mixture of vanilla/almond/butter flavors.
I don't care for the taste of fondant so the image doesn't make a difference for me there.
