No kidding?! Do they come small enough to stamp on cookies? Are they in the stamping department at Michaels and JoAnns? I am in those places at least once a week and can't believe the little boogers have escaped me. We just had a terrific new JoAnns open up and they have a lot of craft and cake items. I'll run in there this afternoon and see what they have.

Okay, fessing up! icon_rolleyes.gificon_lol.gif I've seen them at Michaels not in the stamp aisle but rather in bins around the store -- tiny alphabet rubber stamps in little packs, usually for $1.00. They can usually be found where they are clearing out the old stamps. It's tricky to play with them but once you get the hang of it they're a lot of fun to work with. The stamp blocks are each maybe 1/4 inch big, if that so the letters are a tad smaller. I've seen them more at Michaels than anyplace else. That helping? icon_biggrin.gif

Sayhellojana, we got a label maker for Christmas. I was all ready to run and try it for y'all. Then I saw the other post about the letters being backward. So, no way to make that work. You could spell the words out backward but you couldn't reverse the letter so that when it flips it's correct.

Geeeeeeeez, I forgot to come back here and post my findings! I did find the impression letters at Michaels. They come in sets and are in the Stamping section. You can choose from different sizes and font types and they are made by Image Tree.
I have not tried them out yet but they look like they will work.
Thanks Bob!! icon_smile.gif

Hi guys. I remember that letter press. It is from a German company and it is made specifically for cookies/fondant and they sold them on ebay for like $80. They were on sale in November.

Let me see if I can find them again and let you know.

Ok sorry guys. My memory failed me. They are sold on ebayy for $15, not $80.

They are from a company named Stadster, and the product name is Brigitte Cookie Set and you can find them on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Brigitte-cookie-cutter-set-new-from-germany_W0QQitemZ360072964525QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116

Hope this helps. icon_biggrin.gif

Just a thought but what about leather punches? The type you would set on leather and hit with a mallet.

Since the two of you heard from her then I feel ok about it. I have rec'd nothing from her/him personally.....only my ebay "congrats you won" email, and my payment confirmation for $23.94.
Have either of you rec'd shipping confirmation?
I just sent her an email from ebay asking for verification of shipping.
Hopefully all three sets are on the way to us thumbs_up.gif

Teekakes, I've received the exact same as you, I selected postage to the UK when I was buying so didn't wait for an invoice. I'm assuming everything is fine.

Sara......yes we did handle our ebay/paypal transactions identical as I did not wait for an invoice either, just paid immediately.

I guess I would not be a little nervous had I not been taken for $75.00 on a transaction over there before. There was nothing I could do to get my money back and I vowed to never purchase outside the U.S. again.....but I just did so there goes that vow out the window icon_rolleyes.gif
Maybe this transaction will boost my confidence in purchasing outside the country again. I really shouldn't let that one bad apple spoil the whole bunch now should I icon_rolleyes.gif

I am glad we can all stay in touch through this thread! thumbs_up.gif

Oh I am thinking positive! I think if I got ripped off again my next vacation would be out of the country to collect on some goods! icon_lol.gif
JK of course. icon_razz.gif

I am reeeeaaaaaaaaallly excited about adding them to the fun pile too! Do ya'll have a project for them as soon as they arrive to your door? I have been trying to think of ways "outside the box" to use them and have not come up with a definite project yet. I am having fun trying to though icon_biggrin.gif
And yes! As soon as they are in our hands we must post it here so those of us that didn't get them yet can lose a night of sleep in anticipation of getting them the very next day! icon_lol.gificon_razz.gif

As far as using them. When I needed them for some cookies I was doing of course could not find any. So now that they are on their way ( hopefuly ) icon_wink.gif I will have to just make some cookies or something to try them out. But its good to know you have them for the next time.
Im sure we can all find something to use them for just to try them out icon_lol.gif
