Edible Image On Black Buttercream Icing

Hi! I have a question regarding edible images on a cake frosted with black buttercream icing. Will the black seep through on the image? I got a request for a cake iced black with the movie poster of Twilight on it. I have only done 2 cakes with edible images, and those were both frosted with white buttcream icing. The more I think about it, the more I am afraid the black will seep through on the white lettering & apple that is on the image. I want to try to avoid any disasters before they happen & try not to waste anything. Thanks all in advance! Amy
1st of all....."Edible Image' is a copyrighted name of certain company who makes legal to sell pictures of lisenced images.
What you are probably talking about is a frosting sheet pic.
They cannot be put on any dark color.
What one does is cut a 'plaque' of rolled fondant to put the image on which is set on the black colored icing. Usually the fondant plaque will be very thin, the same size/shape as the image and (of course) white.
