OK, I've baked the cake, now how do I crumb coat a ball shaped cake? I am thinking coat the top sphere, let crust, turn, coat, crust, turn, coat, ect. BUT IF any of you have a better/different idea please share. I also will have to cover in fondant.

The cake sits on a board, no? Crumb coat all that is visible or that isn't touching the very bottom of the board as you would any other cake. The portion that is touching the board just put icing between it and the board to give it a bit of a seal there. I have a piggy in my gallery that I covered wtih fondant and this is what I did. He is just a round ball.
