Fondant Wont Stay Smooth

i am trying to mold 2 ravens from black MMF. the problem is that i cant get it smooth. It has lines from folds and even when I rollrd it to cover a football helmet, it never got perfectly smooth. What m I doing wrong?

I'm not sure what you're doing wrong but there are a couple of things I would check that come to mind right away. Are you using homemade fondant? If so, add glycerine - that helps a lot. Make sure you are not taking too long to put it on - it may be getting dry. If it is dry to start with, add some crisco then roll it out. Often, if I get cracks and markes, I will use a stiff paint brush to smooth the lines. HTH.

I do make my own MMF. This is the first time that i have had a problem. I have never added glycerine, How much do I add for 1bag of mimiMM and 2# of PS?

Maybe try putting the fondant on thicker? Also make sure your cake(or what ever you're trying to cover) surface is smooth.
