info for becoming legal for Wyoming? We're moving to Cheyenne in about 3 months (from overseas) and although I don't plan on doing cakes full-time, I'd like to do a few here and there but don't want to run the risk of not being legal. I've tried looking for info on the web and get so confused with all the legal mumbo-jumbo that I can't find anything!!! CAN ANYONE HELP ME?????

look into the sticky at the top of the business forum. there is a matrix of the states that license home bakeries.

Hi, thanks for the info. I have looked there already as well as searched for "wyoming" in the forums, which didn't give me much. I'm just trying to find a website or phone number or something that will give me more infor that the sticky note did. All it said was the cottage law failed to pass but I could sell for ingredients only. It doesn't give a website or anywhere on how to become legal.

I found the dept of ag website, but I got so confused and couldn't seem to find what I was looking for, the only phone number I found was to report a problem to an automated line icon_sad.gif

First start is your city level government, then county, then state level. You have to find out if the city would even allow it.

Yes , walk right into town hall where you are going to live and tell them what you want to do. They will point you in the right direction.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I was hoping to do it all before I got there, but guess I'll just wait till March when we get there and ask around then. Thanks icon_smile.gif
