Does anyone know where I can get a 3.5" square cookie cutter. The only ones I've been able to find are nesting sets and the biggest is 2.75". I have to do 100 square cookies with a company logo on them this December and I need to find the cutter before then. Any substitutions for a cutter this size would be great, too. I don't really want to hand cut 100 of these. Thanks a bunch.
If you can't find a 3.5" square you can always buy a 4.5" round cutter, and bend it into a square. (Be careful not to pop the spot welds though.) A 3.5" square cutter has a perimeter of 14", a 4.5" round cutter has a perimeter of about 14.13" (2 x pi x r) which I would think would be close enough. Good luck.
Try FancyFlours.com. I just received their catalogue and they have a rectangle cutter that measures approx. 3x4.5. They have over 1000 cutters. I love this website. Hope this helps...
I knew the CC members would have an answer for me. Thanks so much. I'll check all those sites!!!!
Try a tupperware dish. When in a pinch we have had to do that before. Last week we had an order for 40 dozen cookies shaped like footballs. We only had a small football cutter and they wanted jumbo. My husband found a tupperware dish in the back of our cabinet and it worked perfect.
OK, so I admit I am not much of a cookie baker but if it is a rolled-out dough, why couldn't you use a straight edge ruler and a pizza cutter to cut the dough into squares?

Yes, that's plan B. I just wanted to avoid the measuring and just stamp them out quickly. That way I'd make sure they were all uniform and that I had right angles. Right now I think I'm heading that way unless I can find a good Tupperware container (thanks for the suggestion tyandton). All of mine have rolled edges which won't cut right. I'll check the stores this week for one with a sharper edge.
Ok, i know this is a little more expensive then a cookie cutter but i think that it is worth its money and you might be able to find it a little less expensive some where else.

You will what ever size cookies you want? up to 4 1/2 by 4 1/2 and all the way down to 3/4 by 3/4 of an inch
I've been looking for one of these for years! Isn't it funny that it is the most basic shape and it is so hard to find. Try Ateco products (do a google on it). They have a lot of sets and they may have one. I have been using a template for the longest time and just haven't gotten around to searching for one recently. I'll check out the links posted. Let us know if you find one.
Here's a link that has larger square cutters.

Enjoy your day!
I couldn't find any large ones except for Copper gifts. That's where you have to order a custom one. The price is not that bad $14 for a 4 inch (not like the $85 ones I did see from a couple of the links!). The shipping is what is going to really add it up. Maybe you should just do a little more shopping to justify the shipping cost! That's what I would do (my poor hubby!). Anyone else out there find a link for Robinscakes (and for me too!)
You can make your cookie cutter. I made 3 cookie cutters this way, and it's perfect:

Good Luck
I have ordered from Coppergifts several times. They have nice sturdy copper cutters. I don't remember the shipping charges as being outrageous, but I haven't ordered lately. It's more economical to buy a few cutters in the same order, so it's a good opportunity to get the other ones you want.
Just finished 100 2.5" x 3" logo cookies for a bank - what do you know? That's a business card size! Ordered the business card edible image paper and none of the pieces were the same size! I wonder... I'm going to call them. Wound up just using regular sheets and cutting them up.
Back to topic - rolled out HUGE (as wide as the freezer would hold) sheets of NFSC and then used the 3" wide clear lined ruler that you find in the sewing section of Walmart.... pizza cutter... and VOILA~
I think it was faster than cutting out 100 cookies with a cutter, and less left-overs for re-rolling too!
HTH!
*oh and had to do 3x3s the other week on the spur of the moment... bought a plastic jumbo box of paper clips, emptied it, DBF drilled the bottom out, and we used that. Hey - I see EVERYTHING in a 'cookie way' these days*

Love this idea. Nice way to improvise.
Ok...My idea about the tupperware container is outdated now...it worked for our footballs but I would go with the ruler and pizza cutter for the squares. That sounds way faster and you don't waste any dough!!! Thanks for that tip!
