Ok, I'm getting fed up with the stores around me icon_mad.gif I can only find pumpkin spice and candy corn kisses. I found caramel apple candy corn, which are really good thumbs_up.gif I'm almost willing to buy them off of ebay, but I think there would be a divorce in my near future icon_lol.gif

I just knew it... I knew it was going to happen. Fiddle was a lot nicer to me when there were things she wanted to know. I've told her all my secrets, now she's become abusive. icon_cry.gif Highway robbery with Hershy's Kisses... not trusting my baking... telling people I'm not a highly paid runway model!! icon_confused.gif Ok... that last one is true. I can't fault her for that. See, now I'm going to have to figure out some new tricks to hold over her and regain her servitude!!! Durn... this could take a while! icon_razz.gif

I've been in some rather intensive emotional therapy, trying to reclaim my self esteem... thanks for the help! Hahahahaha.

No, I was out of town in a place where the internet won't even go... Missouri!! Hey, no offense, I'm just kidding! I'm just not used to not having an internet connection. It made me feel a little isolated while I was there. Fortunately I'm back home with my trusty laptop! And yes, before I get b*tch slapped... I know the internet exists in Missouri, just not in my sister's house. It's easier for her husband to keep her subservient if she can't communicate with outsiders. I'm kind of kidding... but I'm not sure how true that really is. He's a real piece of work. Don't get me started.

My dad lived in arkansas, but his step daughters lived in missouri and when they would go visit them he would always say he was going to misery (he didn't like it there very much icon_lol.gif ) He could never get phone reception there. When he passed away his wife moved there and everytime I talk to her I can hear him say that icon_smile.gif

Yep, I call it Misery too. icon_redface.gif Less to do with the actual state than the man who's house I am going to. But, if you wanna see sis, you gotta deal with him. thumbsdown.gif And I looooove her! thumbs_up.gif

We missourians sometimes refer to it as "misery" as well icon_lol.gif , but I do love it here! Where in Mo were you Mel?

They're $5.95 plus shipping. Just type in Hershey Coffee Kisses. There's like 7 available.

I hope I get to make these, it's hard to find things here sometimes at the commissary on base in Germany. I will have to research where to get vanilla bean.

And I'm jealous because I've never heard of all these special kisses that everybody's getting. We have plain, almond, and dark chocolate. That's it! I may have to have my mom ship me some!

Last point, there is nothing wrong with we Missourians. I was born and raised there and I had internet access, even in my small town that I was raised in!!! icon_biggrin.gif

I'm in Canada and don't get any of this stuff! It drives me nuts hearing about coffee creamer flavours and now Kisses that I didn't know existed ... sounds like a trip of cross-border shopping may be in order before the Christmas season is upon us. lol

I feel for you fellow Canadian! I'm California now and they've put AlphaBits back on the shelves so now there's NOTHING I can't get here! OK, well, St-Hubert BBQ sauce but that's another story...

Costco sells vanilla beans here in Cali if anyone is still looking. I'll have to go see if I can find those kisses in bulk. Then let the bidding begin! icon_biggrin.gif

We have GOT to set up an exchange program! You know, a trusted group of people that will send the items to those who can't get them, only the actual cost plus actual shipping. In other words, not like a store trying to make money, just one friend doing another friend a favor.

And no offense to the Missourians... I love Missouri. Seriously, it's just my BIL that I don't care for. And they used to have internet, but like I said, it's easier to keep her cut off without it, so... ya know. But she's been down there since I was like 12, and I always go down to visit several times a year. Man, do I have a way of pulling a thread off topic or what? Sorry! icon_redface.gif

Michelle, I'm from a town called Arcadia. It's about 100 miles southeast of St. Louis. I have also lived in and around St. Louis, Jeff City, Cape Girardeau, and Ft. Leonard Wood! That's where I met my hubby (he's in the Air Force).

icon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gif You are KIDDING me!!! I have been there! Lots of times! My Gramma and Grampa lived in Caledonia for years and we used to go to Arcadia to eat at someplace they loved when I was a girl. I have an aunt that lived in Belgrade and I stayed with her the summer I was 16. Lots of traveling in and out of all those little towns! What a small world! icon_lol.gif I'm in Crystal City now and grew up in Herculaneum. Nice to meet ya!! icon_lol.gif

No prob about the hijack Mel! I just hijacked too!! hehehe icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

Oh! And sister...I am ALL for the exchange program!!! Count me in!! thumbs_up.gif

Well, the cupcakes are done..and I was a little disappointed icon_sad.gif They were very yummy, but I couldn't taste the coffee at all... well..very very faint. I even used espresso instead of just strong coffee!!! So I don't know what was up with that, but my grandma thinks maybe the coffee flavor will develop after the sit for awhile??? I don't know...thinking about somehow making the ganache be coffee-ish....Any suggestions???

Hey Sarsi,

Glad you hear you made the cuppies. I don't know when I'll get to make them because my DH's brother had a massive heart attack yesterday and they have got him in ICU right now because they had to put a tube in his head to drain the blood off his brain. I only stopped for a minute before we go back to the hospital. It is so sad because he has a 14 year old daughter so is so crazy about him. It's breaking my heart so if you could all pray for him I would appreciate it so much. Thanks everyone and so sorry about hijacking this forum. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

Sarsi.. I was also wanting it to have a good coffee flavor. Maybe it was just to enhance the choc flavor ?
