Question About Soccer Cupcakes...

Hi Everyone...
I am making soccer cupcake for my son's last soccer game tomorrow. I bought the Wilton candy soccer balls to put on top. But, I have a question. I was planning to make the icing a dark green like grass but since my husband and I and other parents have been concerned about dye I was thinking of doing plain frosting for the grass and maybe adding some green sprinkles? Or should I add a green sugar rim?
Any advice? I would do green dye, but I don't want to be seen as an "evil" parent.
Thanks so much!

It has been on the local news lately about food dye causing "hyperactivity" in children. I believe the concern is mostly with the "red" dye but I do hear other parents talking about eliminating food dye from their child's diet, like popsicles, Jell-O, etc.
Thanks again!
I do have a friend who's son can't have food dyes because of that reason. She said her son didn't become hyper due to the colors, he was already prone to that and the colors set him off.
I personally, would be more concerned about them having the cupcakes with frosting than the colors.
Yes, normally I am a non-sugar/or organic snack type mom. But that is what was requested. I am bringing water instead of sugery drinks with the cupcakes. I guess I could use green, just make it a bit lighter.
Thanks.
I just ate half a bowl of colored frosting....I'm not at all hyper. In fact, I could use a nap.
