I don't want to advertise here for Micheals, but I use foamcore board alot. It is on sale this week for just a buck. The 3/16 size.

What are the foam boards used for? I currently use cake boards would the foam boards that the place of that? Thanks in advance for your info.

I use them instead of the cardboard cake circles for one tier cakes or between tiers for stacked cakes.

I use them a board also, I cut and decorate with gift wrap and contact paper for small cakes.

Can you cover them with fondant? I have never done this and want to try it. Thanks for the info!
