What's your best/favorite/easiest technique?

Newbie learning fast from this site but nothing getting done around the house!

okay...........you mean like a petit four?? Do you have a square cupcake pan??? Do you have a photo of a square cupcake?

i think it would look cute with a swirl of frosting! so you could see the corners peeking out!

i love my square cc pan!
my fav at the moment is to start at one side and pipe a line and loop at the other end then keep going back and forth till i fill the top. Sorry no pics so i don't know if i can explain it.

also another id to make three rows of squiggles- but i can't explain that either

I purchased a square cupcake pan from Kohls online and I just recd it today. It's shallower than I thought.
It's a Calphalon square bar pan. I will be returning this one.

I saw some square cupcakes online and thought how elegant they looked. I'm very new to all this but want to do something different for the holidays.

sharon- that is the pan I have!!! it works great! the cupcakes are slightly BIGGER than standard size, but not jumbo.

Maybe I'll give it a try. I was just expecting it to be deeper like a regular cupcake.
