When I heard Mike's Amazing Cakes was creating a video, I signed up to get email updates. Well, I got an email a few days ago! They are taking credit card orders for his first DVD. This 2 hour video will demonstrate how to carve a car cake and include some recipes. The price is $32.50 + shipping and handling. If interested, they can be reached Tuesday - Friday at 425-869-2992. Just thought I'd pass this on if you're a fan.

I just ordered mine and it was shipped Friday. Shipping was a little steep (15.00 to Canada), but I'm sure it will be well worth it! Can't Wait!!!

It's worth every penny. I've had mine a little more than a week, and although I've been sculpting for a long time, I still learned from it. Mike rocks!

I carve cake a lot too....so I'm on the fence about this video. Does he go into some detail about how he works with modeling chocolate?? How much of it is cake carving? Thanks!

He does most of the car in real time, except he cuts out the part where he has the cake in the cooler of course. At the end, he details one or two windows, then goes on to the next detail. Then off-camera he finishes up the windows. Otherwise, he shows nearly the entire procedure. He uses both modeling chocolate and fondant on the car. His cake and mod choc recipes are on the DVD as well.

I *heart* Mike! He made my wedding cake 5 years ago. Nothing fancy just a classic wedding cake, but it was beautiful and delish!

I may have to order his dvd!

I got my dvd at the convention and watched it in my hotel room that night. WOW! I also sculpt a lot of cake but I learned more than a few things watching it. I always wondered how mike was so accurate and now I've seen how he does it in real time on the dvd . My big surprise was how entertainnig it was. Go figure! Man, I hope he makes some more...sooner than later.

I finally watched Mike's DVD last night and it was amazing! Sooo much information, so many tips, I can't wait to try my first carved car. I already started trying to find a template for a 1955 Chevy. This DVD actually made me feel like I could do a car cake and have it look like a real car rather than a cartoon car. Mike is truly amazing!

I got mine about a week and a half ago. I've watched it 3 times already! Even got my DH to watch it once, and he was impressed with it, too. Of course, now he wants me to make him a car cake! But I think I might be able to do it with all of the help from Mike's video!

I can't wait until he makes more!

Cakenology.com.  I ordered mine a few weeks ago but haven't had the time to watch it.  Hopefully I can watch it soon.  I know it will be good because I took a class with Mike over a year ago and he was great!
