No. As far as I know, it is not sold at hardware stores...at least not around here... It is quite cheap at [url]countrykitchensa.com[/url] Its about $3 for 5 sheets I believe.

Yes you can reuse it ! Just wipe it clean and your good to go !

I used your instructions to wrap a 10" cake for Halloween. I practiced on an 8" and it was so easy I thought I would be successful at the larger cake. I prepared the cake with a layer of bc and when I had the chocolate prepared, I used a fondant smoother to help press it up against the sides. It worked so well it was really exciting. The only hitch was that I had to piece the base because I needed it to be like 32 " (I used an old Wilton rolling mat...the kind that is just laminated paper..such a disappointment...but another topic) and where I butted the ends together and taped with clear package tape, it kind of came to a slight point. On the cake, I had made choc. transfer ghosts so I just stuck a ghost there to hide it. Thanks again for the step-by-step pictures and instructions. They were a big help.

I'm wondering where I can purchase acetate paper? I'm from a very small town (5,000 ppl) and don't have any cake supply stores near by. Can this be purchased at a hardware store or grocery store?

countrykitchensa.com Carries it. I have never seen it anywhere but a cake supply store.
Im sure other cake supply stores have it also but I ordered mine from this site!

Thank you all for the helpful information! I have a question, when you transfer the cake from the "decorating plate" to the display/serving plate or board, is there a chance that the chocolate will crack when moved?

I tried a chocolate wrap over the weekend and wrapped it on the serving plate because I was worried that the move would crack it.
