I need to buy individual cupcake boxes to use as favors and I had a few questions...What size box should I get so that the cupcake won't need an insert. The picture I have in mind is a clear PVC container with a ribbon on the outside and I don't want to have to use an insert. In order for the cupcake to stay in place, should I go with a 3" x 3" x 3"? Also, can anyone give me a good website to get cheap boxes?

Not sure if this is a cheaper idea, but I prefer using the frosted Chinese take-out containers for packaging cupcakes individually. The plastic/velum ones for sure are more "grease-proof" than the paper ones...though usually pricier. I love the frosted ones because they are a little more forgiving if the icing smudges on the side...i.e. not see-though!

I also wanted to say that at work we use 9 oz clear plastic cups with a lid to package individual cupcakes. That would look cute, also.

What good ideas for individual cupcakes! I really like the take-out box & plastic cup idea. Does anyone know where to get cups with lids (without ordering in bulk)?

Do they have GFS where you are? I went over to mine last night, and they have the lids and cups there. I would think Smart and Final or Sams/Costco would also carry them.

I order mine from prpaper.com it is the white kraft ones people love the presentation I do put the insert but they do have a good price usually for favor we add a ribbon with the colors of the party and they just look adorable.
