I use box mixes for some of my cakes and just curious what others are paying in their area. I use Duncan Hines and pay $.93 per box at WalMart.

Betty Crocker.... at walmart ... $0.98.

Betty Crocker ... when hubby goes to get me one and goes to the "other" locally owned store because he's a butthead and wont' go to Walmart on priniciple ..... $3.29

Being able to chew out hubby for at least 15 minutes for wasting MY money and taking too long to go ALL THE WAY over to that other store: Priceless!

Sounds just like my DH, they don't want to be inconvenienced I guess, you think they would learn after having to listen to us when they get home!!

I buy dh at walmart for .99 or pillsbury for .88 there also. I love when Weis has their 10 for $10.00 I stock up like crazy.

Usually Duncan Hines........$.96 box Until today when I go to my Wal-Mart and the Duncan Hines Cake mixes have been removed and cheap, crappy aluminum foil cake pans are in the Duncan Hines PLace. Not at all Happy

Used to be $0.87 at the grocery store or Target or Walmart for BC and how it's up to $1.37 to $1.67, I love those 10 fo $10 deals too. But for the most part it's all over $1.00 a box.

Wow I pay $1.08 for dh at WM here. Bought oil 1 month ago and it was $6.50. Bought some yesterday and it was $8.00!!!

seriously? I'm jealous! I live in Philadelphia and groceries in general are overpriced, but I pay well over $2.00 for each box of Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker- probably around $2.98 or so.

It's $2.98 for DH where I live at Krogers (on sale this week for $1.77). By the time I drive to Wal-mart I've burned a good amount of gas so I'm not saving too much and it's more time.
BC is around $2.59 a box.

I pay .88 at Winco and have been stocking up. This is for Betty Crocker which is the brand I prefer.

At the grocery stores, cake mixes are about $2.00-$2.50 each, but $.96 at Walmart. I just bought oil for $6.50 at WM yesterday, but saw Crisco went up $2 a can! I have a Giant in my area, but they rarely put DH on sale, and that is the only kind I use. But I did forget Dollar General has them for $1.00/box, but like someone else mentioned they have very limited flavors.

Super Target here sells them for $1.01 and have every DH flavor, even caramel!

Here in Calgary Betty Crocker cake mixes are regular $2.79 at the more expensive grocery stores..Superstore which is like your Large Kroegers box store in the US sells them a bit less at $1.79 and if you watch the flyers...you can get them for 2/$3.00....when they are on sale at Dollar days...Walmart runs around $1.30-$1.70 depending on flavor Duncan Hines runs the same! Now yah know why I had to raised my prices about 6 months ago!!! Insane!!! needless to say I watch for the sales!!Crisco went from $4.99 a 1 kg can to $6.99 a can and oil has also jumped up to $6.49 a 3 litre jug.

Everyday price at Target (DH is also an anti-Walmart person) is around $0.99 depending on the brand. Duncan Hines is $0.99, and I think Betty is the same.

I'm going to sneak away with my mom at some point and go to Sams. shhhhh.

I buy Walmart-brand box mix at WM for $.87/box, and if they don't have all of what I need, then it's BC for $.98/box.

Just a year ago the WM-brand box mix was $.67 .

Target DH or BC $.99 or from Walmart $.98...the Walmart here in Miami, FL use to sell the cake mixes for $.88 earlier this year now they went up $.10.

I buy BC and it went from .89 to 1.08- at my local WM. It has been months since I found any under a dollar.

My WM also went up on Powdered Sugar, .88 to 1.24 and cream cheese went from.89 to 1.34.

Wal Mart is always cheapest no matter what brand on an everyday level, however the DH brand just went up to $1.08 per box instead of .98c.

BUT....here in Arizona most all our grocery stores double coupons every day so when there is a good deal, say ten for $10=$1.00 each and depending on which coupons are available, I get them for FREE or no more than .50c each. Two years in a row now, one of our stores has run a promo where you buy a certain dollar amount and get X dollar amount off the total purchase. So I've gotten up to 100 boxes of cake mix FREE both years! I LOVE THAT!!

Wal-Mart went up from .88 to 1.08 a box here Publix's has a great sale every once in awhile buy one get one free which make it about.78 per box. That is for DH. I buy BC when Kroger has their 10 for 10 sale

Yeah, it used to be .88 at Wal Mart, but now it's 1.08 for all the real brands and .98 for that GV nastiness. At the smaller stores it's just under $4. Yikes.
