I have to agree with Mel, if it's only a few votes that separate it, I know my vote was wrong, and that could change the outcome...

Fabulous bouquets, the both of them. Luckily, I read thru the responses and was able to vote for the one I wanted. Though, really, I waffled so much it was a toss up! I'm seriously envious of the talent exhibited by both these ladies.

You don't know how much that lifted my spirits today! I've been feeling really low all week due to some bad family medical news, so your compliment is much appreciated! (Though I don't think anything I've decorated can equal either kneadacookie's or yankeegal's).

i think a rematch is a great idea!!! i think we need to figure out this posting thing. i don't think we've had a throwdown yet without a posting problem. it's gotta be hard having a different person posting each time, so maybe if there's one set of instructions....
so, yankeegal...are you up for a rematch????

I am fine with whatever everyone wants to do!
Did you want to do a whole other bouquet or repost the current ones? My only issue with doing a new one is that I am on vacation from Aug. 3rd until Aug. 18th and will be doing no cookies at all!

there were only 3 votes seperating us, and there were at least 6 people who said they voted wrong. it really could have gone either way.
ok, so why don't we say maybe the 22nd of august. that gives us 4 weeks. that's only 1 extra week.
i had so much fun with the last theme that i really want to pick another one. i say we take some suggestions and see what comes up.
anyone...anyone...

ok...here's my 2 cents!!! I would have loved to see a re-vote on the current bouquets to find out who ultimately would have won. But if that's not the direction you're going then I have some suggestions for a new throwdown...

Happy New Year
Outdoor Barbeque/Picnic
"At the Lake" cabin theme
New Baby
"What Little Girls are Made Of"
"What Little Boys are Made Of"
Gardening
"Hunting Season" (my husband's a hunter!)
Homecoming

Good luck with whatever you decide!!! Jennifer thumbs_up.gif

I am fine with the results as they stand-I loved Kneadacookies bouquet! She deserves to win. I just don't know if people will vote again on the same bouquets....And if Kneadacookie is gracious enough to entertain me on another challenge..well, how can I resist? icon_wink.gif
Love all of the suggestions you made-but the "At the lake" is kinda sticking out and the hunting one, too...hmmm..lots of good choices.
What does everyone else think?

i'm not even sure if you could tell who really won?!?
you would need everyone who voted wrong to write in saying they voted for #2 and meant to vote for #1 or whatever. then you'd have to add and subtract where necessary.
i really hope nobody's upset or feels cheated by all this. i am glad we're doing a rematch.

well, as i see it it's a rematch between you and i yankeegal. we could take a couple days to think up a new theme. i don't mind the lake one.

anybody have any other suggestions???

I'm ready to vote on a rematch! I'd love to see you do the "At The Lake" theme. The possibilities are endless on that one.

As far as the voting goes I've noticed that when you post a new thread you have 4 hours to edit it before it becomes permanent. I tried to edit a post I made once and it gave me a message saying my post was more than 4 hours old so I couldn't do any editing. icon_rolleyes.gif

So when the new throwdown is posted just make sure everything about it is clear and fair. If not, delete the post and start over again. Sound good? thumbs_up.gif

Oh, and do we have to wait another 3-4 weeks before the next throwdown though? C'mon, can't you guys pump one out in a day or two?? icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif Just kidding! I'm looking forward to another one though. Good luck to you both!!

Here's a suggestion: make a cookie bouquet that represents your state. Sports teams, local attractions, stereotypes for that state....it could be interesting!

Gemini-I actually thought of this very one for the last challenge....Must be great minds thinking alike! icon_wink.gif

I think this may be too easy to find out who made which bouquest though!

Good point. Good idea, but too hard to be "anonymous."

Perhaps. But I can't be the only one who can spot who the decorator is just by looking at it. If you're observant, it's obvious by their styles who made which bouquet.

there are tons of people on here who comment on my photos saying i knew it was yours even before i opened it. cakes are one thing, but cookies i think are another. i'm sure most people can spot my work as well as yankeegals. i love her work, and that's why i chose her. i'm hoping people just look at the bouquets and pick whichever one speaks to them.

on that note, it sounds like "at the lake" may be a good theme.
