Does anyone know where to find discontinued Wilton pans at a reasonable price?
I need the motorcycle pan....I've seen a few on ebay and am willing to bid if I need to, but as I'm sure we all know, that can be risky!! It's for a cake I need for next saturday, the 20th. I'd hate to bid on a pan in a couple of days (when it's ending) only to be outbid or end up stuck paying $30 or $40 not including shipping!! lol I found cakepans4less.com, but their motorcylce pan is $25.00. I know originally it was probably somewhere between $10-$15....so if anyone knows of another website that might have this pan and doesn't over-inflate their prices, I would appreciate a heads up!!

I just mentioned this on another post. Check with cake supply stores in your area. Sometime they have character pans for rent and those are usually the discontinued pans.

I'm an ebay junkie and right now there is a motorcycle pan ending in 12 hrs.The bid is at 16.00 and some change.I buy all my character pans on ebay.You just wait till the last minute and bid the most you'll pay.There were about 5 or 6 listed.But they have days to go.Sorry I couldn't help you more.

Unfortunately I have NO cake supply stores anywhere near me!!! To get to one I'd have to drive, oh, about 75 miles away!!! lol No kidding! The closest thing we have to a cake/bakery supply is restaurant supply stores...and they don't carry any supplies like what us cake decorators need/use. Within a 30 minute drive from me, I can count maybe 4 bakeries that aren't located inside a grocery store or wal-mart, and even they don't carry supplies....just sell cakes and other goodies. And I've even called them hoping that they rent pans, but nope.

So I'm kind of stuck to finding it online or not at all...sure wish I could make use of your advice, though

I get a lot of my pans on ebay too...I've never had a problem. Try google.com and put in motorcycle cake pan and see what comes up!

Jenn, I found this on sugarcraft. Not sure if it's what you are looking for but it's cute and you might be able to place this cake on top of a larger one to serve all your peeps!

You're very welcome! I couldn't believe it was so cheap either!! I love that site. They just have so much to look at. At least something good came out of my son has keeping me up half the night!
